Nghe An: Highlights on December 22

* Morning of December 22,The Government held a National Conferenceon the development of Vietnam's cultural industries. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the conference.

Reporting on the results of the implementation of the Strategy for the development of cultural industries, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that cultural industries are becoming a trend and are identified as an important, sustainable part, contributing to the country's growth.

According to estimates, the added value of cultural industries contributing to the economy in 2018 is estimated at 5.82%; in 2019 at 6.02%; in 2020 at 4.32%, in 2021 at 3.92% and in 2022 at 4.04%.

The production value of Vietnam's cultural industries in the period 2018-2022 is estimated to contribute an average of 1,059 trillion VND. Over the past 5 years, the average growth rate in the number of economic establishments operating in cultural industries has reached 7.21%/year.

Regarding the direction of cultural industry development in the coming time, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the potential of cultural industry development is innovation, science and technology, healthy culture and arts, national identity, in line with the trend of the times, the trend of world progress is a space for unlimited development.

* Morning of December 22,The Provincial People's Committee organized a working session with the Inspection Delegation of the Ethnic Committeeon the conclusion of the inspection of the implementation of the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas and a number of policies in the field of ethnic work.

Deputy Minister, Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Y Thong also acknowledged the opinions and feedback from representatives of departments, branches and localities in Nghe An. At the same time, he requested the People's Committee of Nghe An province to direct all levels and branches to review and advise the People's Committee of the province to send documents to relevant ministries and branches on promulgating regulations, amending, supplementing, guiding and removing difficulties and obstacles for each project.

* Morning of December 22,The Party Committee of the Business Bloc held a conference to summarize the work.2023, deploy tasks in 2024.

The conference report said that the total revenue of the whole Bloc is estimated at 50,757.12 billion VND (up 5.14% over the same period); Export turnover is estimated at 368.97 million USD (accounting for nearly 12.81% of the whole province); Payment to the provincial budget is estimated at 3,536 billion VND (accounting for 21.30% of the total domestic revenue of the whole province), payment to the central budget is estimated at 657 billion VND; Total new investment of enterprises is over 900 billion VND. Enterprises have basically fulfilled their obligations to pay social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance for employees.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee Bui Thanh An requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial Business Bloc Party Committee and grassroots Party committees to strengthen leadership in implementing political tasks, improving production and business efficiency; continue to invest in innovation of technological equipment, innovation in management and operation; promote digital transformation, apply scientific and technological achievements, improve labor productivity; strengthen joint ventures and attract investment to improve the competitiveness of enterprises.

*Morning of December 22,The National Assembly delegation of Nghe An province had a working session with the People's Committee of Dien Chau district.according to the thematic monitoring plan for the implementation of Resolution No. 43 dated January 11, 2022 of the National Assembly on fiscal and monetary policies to support the socio-economic recovery and development program and the implementation of the National Assembly's Resolutions on a number of important national projects until the end of 2023.

Working with the Provincial National Assembly Delegation under the program of supervising key national projects, the People's Committee of Dien Chau district proposed that the Central Government allow localities with many key projects to establish professional units to carry out compensation, support and resettlement.

* To be proactiveserve well the need for safe travel during the Lunar New YearGiap Thin 2024, on the morning of December 22, in Vinh City, the Steering Committee for passenger transport services during Tet held a meeting to discuss and deploy plans and implementation solutions.

At the meeting, the representative of the Department of Transport Management, Department of Transport reported on the draft plan to organize and deploy passenger transport services during the New Year, Lunar New Year and the Giap Thin Spring Festival 2024. Accordingly, the transport business units, bus stations, train stations, airports, passenger ferry terminals and functional forces within their authority are required to urge and direct the implementation of the proposed plan, ensuring people's convenient travel and a safe and happy New Year.
