Nghe An: Highlights on July 22

*BThe Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Nghe An province to organize the Conference.strengthen response workwith drought, water shortage, saltwater intrusion and natural disaster prevention and control in the North Central region. Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong said that the impacts of climate change are very severe, even abnormal phenomena as a result of climate change occur faster than the latest scenarios predicted by the international community and Vietnam.

*Cafternoon 22/7,Party Committee of Provincial Agenciesorganized the preparatory session of the 20th Congress of Delegates, term 2020 - 2025. The Congress discussed the draft Report synthesizing opinions of the Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies on the Political Report, Personnel Project of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025 and Documents of the 13th National Congress of Delegates of the Party.

*COn the afternoon of July 22, at Vinh University, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union organized the launching ceremony of the contest to learn about "History of Nghe An province990 years of formation and development”. This is an opportunity for the youth of the whole province to better understand the role, position and great contributions of the land and people of Nghe An in the historical process of building, defending and developing the country.

*SOn July 22, the People's Council of Anh Son district, term XVIII, 2016 - 2021, held the 10th session (extraordinary session) toadditional votepositions of Chairman of the People's Council and Chairman of the District People's Committee. As a result, comrade Nguyen Huu Sang was elected to the position of Chairman of the District People's Council; comrade Hoang Quyen was elected to the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee.

*TVinh city will build an art flower garden and fountain.at the walking street. The art flower garden and fountain built on the south side of Ho Tung Mau Street, in Ho Chi Minh Square, will be the final items to complete the walking street. After completing these projects, Vinh City will test the walking street before officially putting it into operation.

*Bsurpriseraid a cockfighting ring, Do Luong District Police arrested 8 people who were gambling in the form of cockfighting. The incident occurred in Hamlet 6, Tru Son Commune, Do Luong.
