*On the morning of March 23rd, during her working visit to Nghe An province, Comrade Dao Hong Lan - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Minister of Health - visited the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province to lay flowers and offer incense.In commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh.
Imbued with and implementing the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, for the past 68 years, generations of Vietnamese doctors have always been united, striving to overcome countless difficulties and hardships, always inheriting and developing the fine traditions of the medical profession.
In keeping with the national tradition and moral principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan and the delegation respectfully offered gifts, flowers, and incense in commemoration, expressing their deep gratitude and respect for President Ho Chi Minh.

Minister Dao Hong Lan and her delegation visited and worked at the Nam Thai Commune Health Station in Nam Dan District; and held a meeting with the Nam Dan District Health Center.
During a meeting with the leaders of Nam Dan district and the District Health Center, Minister Dao Hong Lan listened to recommendations regarding policy documents; preventive health care, examination and treatment based on the practical experience of a district-level health facility; and especially the difficulties in recruiting personnel to work at the district and commune levels.
A delegation from the Ministry of Health visited and worked at Nghe An Friendship General Hospital.
After conducting a field survey and listening to reports, the head of the Ministry of Health acknowledged the role of Nghe An Friendship General Hospital in providing medical examination and treatment not only for the province but also for the region and neighboring Laos. Ms. Dao Hong Lan also discussed several specific issues and assigned relevant units under the Ministry to research and provide answers in the near future.
Later that afternoon, Minister Dao Hong Lan held a working meeting with the leaders of Nghe An province.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments and localities focused on discussing the implementation of tasks by working groups; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan for the first quarter, and key tasks and solutions for the second quarter of 2023; the implementation of state budget revenue in March 2023, and tasks and solutions for the second quarter of 2023; and administrative reform work in the first quarter, and tasks and solutions for the second quarter of 2023.
Emphasizing key tasks and solutions for the coming period, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung requested that all sectors and localities continue to focus, make greater efforts, and assume greater responsibility to effectively implement the development goals and targets approved by the Provincial People's Council.

*Also at the regular March meeting, according to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, preliminary estimates suggest thatGRDP growth rate in the first quarterNghe An's growth rate is estimated at 7.5-8% (lower than the projected scenario of 8.5-9.5%).
As of March 20th, over 282 billion VND of the provincial-managed public investment capital has been disbursed, reaching 5.06%. The industrial production index for the first three months of the year is estimated to have increased by 5.81% compared to the same period last year.
Revenue from accommodation and food services in the first quarter is estimated at VND 2,657 billion, an increase of 28.57% compared to the same period in 2022. Total merchandise exports for the first three months are estimated at USD 520 million, while imports are estimated at over USD 274 million. The number of tourists is estimated at 1.9 million, equivalent to 181% compared to the same period; revenue is estimated at VND 1,460 billion, equivalent to 306.7% compared to the same period in 2022…

*The regular meeting of the People's Committee also gave opinions and reached a consensus.through the draft plan for expanding administrative boundaries.and the urban space of Vinh city.
Accordingly, the plan to expand the administrative boundaries and urban space of Vinh City, as agreed upon by the Provincial People's Committee, is to transfer the entire natural area and existing population of Cua Lo town to the management of Vinh City.
Simultaneously, the entire natural area and existing population of the four communes of Nghi Xuan, Phuc Tho, Nghi Thai, and Nghi Phong (Nghi Loc) will be transferred to the management of Vinh City. Four wards will be established based on the existing natural area and population of the four communes of Hung Dong, Hung Loc, Nghi Phu, and Nghi Duc.
Following the expansion, Vinh City has a natural area of 166.24 km2 (reaching 110.67%); a population of 575,718 people (reaching 383.81%); and 36 commune-level administrative units (reaching 360%), including 27 wards and 9 communes. Nghi Loc District has a natural area of 313.18 km2 (reaching nearly 70%); a population of 206,042 people (reaching 171.70%); and 25 commune-level administrative units (reaching 192.31%), including 24 communes and 1 town.

*People in the flood-affected area of Hoa Son village, Ta Ca commune, Muong Xen town, Ky Son district areWe are eagerly awaiting the construction of the new resettlement area.to be relocated to a safe place to live.
In Hoa Son village, Ta Ca commune, there are 244 households, of which 64 households had their houses destroyed or damaged by flash floods and had to erect temporary shelters to live in recently, with some households living together with relatives.
To ensure the safety of people in flood-prone areas, on December 9, 2022, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Document No. 9765/UBND-NN on "Construction of infrastructure for the emergency relocation resettlement area for people in Muong Xen town and Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district". Currently, the relevant authorities have surveyed three locations in Muong Xen town and Ta Ca commune.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Minh, Chairman of the Ky Son District People's Committee, said: Currently, through social mobilization support, the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has transferred 25 billion VND to Ky Son district to build a resettlement area for people affected by flash floods. The district is awaiting approval from the Provincial People's Committee to use this fund for the construction of the resettlement area.

*On the afternoon of March 23, the Dien Thanh Border Guard Station (Dien Chau)Administrative penalties imposed on 8 fishing vessels.Violation of nearshore fishing regulations.
During a patrol, the Dien Thanh Border Guard Post discovered eight fishing vessels belonging to owners Nguyen Van Quang, Nguyen Van Dung, Tran Van Tien, Cao Van Thuong, Nguyen Van Tien, Vu Van Son, Nguyen Van Hung, and Nguyen Van Dung, all from Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district, fishing in the coastal area. According to regulations, these fishing vessels are only permitted to fish in offshore waters.
The ship owners and crew members all admitted to the illegal fishing activities, accepted the administrative penalties, and pledged not to engage in fishing in violation of the law.
