Nghe An: Highlights of December 24th

Along with evaluating and summarizing the results of press activities in the past period, the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Nguyen Trong Nghia, requested that press agencies immediately conduct self-criticism and criticism in accordance with Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW, dated October 25, 2021, of the Central Committee of the Party on strengthening the building and rectification of the Party and the political system; resolutely prevent, repel, and strictly handle cadres and Party members who have degenerated in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle, and exhibiting "self-evolution" and "self-transformation," ensuring seriousness, caution, and achieving concrete and substantive results. 2023 is a pivotal year in the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, requiring press agencies, journalists, and press management and guidance agencies to further build upon the achievements of 2022; Thoroughly address existing shortcomings and limitations in order to "build a professional, humane, and modern press and media" as outlined in the Congress documents.

At the conference, delegates shared experiences in performing the decision-making function through organizing regular and specialized sessions; and the representative function of People's Councils at all levels through activities such as receiving citizens, interacting with voters, receiving petitions and feedback from voters and the people to propose solutions to the relevant levels, promptly resolving difficulties and grievances, and promoting development in each locality and the overall development of the province.

*According toDecision on ranking emulation achievements in 2022In Nghe An province, 7 units in the district, city, and town sector were classified as having excellently completed their tasks; 14 units in the department, board, and agency sector were classified as having excellently completed their tasks.

Accordingly, on December 21, 2022, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Duc Trung, signed Decision No. 4100/QD-UBND on the ranking of emulation achievements in 2022 for Party agencies, the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, provincial-level mass organizations; provincial departments, boards, and agencies; agencies under central ministries and branches performing professional tasks in the province; districts, cities, and towns; and public service units under the province.

At the workshop, delegates contributed many ideas to identify and accurately assess the value, potential, and vitality of intangible cultural heritage, as well as propose solutions for protecting and promoting the value of intangible cultural heritage in Nghe An province.

The results of the workshop will provide important and necessary prerequisites, creating a scientific and objective basis for the preservation and promotion of the value of typical intangible cultural heritage in Nghe An province.

*At 12:00 PM on December 24th, an incident occurred at the construction site of the Commercial and Service Center building on VI Le Nin Street.scaffolding collapse incidentin the roof construction category.

The incident occurred just as the construction crew had finished pouring concrete for the second-floor roof of the center. Many workers were on duty at the time, but fortunately, there were no casualties.

At the time of the incident, the construction site was surrounded by barriers and located far from residential areas, so it did not affect the daily activities of the residents.
