*Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra has just signed Directive No. 21/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on the matter ofreorganizing villages and residential areasand the arrangement, utilization, regime, and policies for part-time officials at the commune, village, and residential group levels. The directive sets out several important deadlines, such as: People's Committees of provinces and cities must terminate the activities of part-time officials at the commune level before May 31, 2026; and the overall plan for rearranging and reorganizing villages and residential groups must be completed before June 10, 2026.
