Nghe An: Highlights on March 29

*NOn March 29, the 11th session of the 14th National Assembly entered its second working week. In the last session of this term, the National Assembly conductedperfecting 25 state positions.

The National Assembly is preparing to elect a new President, Chairman of the National Assembly, Prime Minister and a series of State positions at the 11th session of the 14th National Assembly.

*SOn March 29, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee organizedInternal Affairs meetingMarch 2021. Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting.

The conference spent time assessing the implementation of the tasks of the Internal Affairs sector in March and setting out plans for the coming period, including deploying preparations and readiness for the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.

*SOn March 29, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting with localities, sectors and related units to remove difficulties in implementing Decree 67/CP of the Government on a number of issues.fisheries development policy.

Nghe An has a total of 104 newly built ships under Decree 67/2014/ND-CP with a total designed main engine capacity of 83,832 CV. The total capital lent by commercial banks under the support policy of Decree 67/CP is 860 billion VND. The 67 ships fish by the following methods: trawling, gillnetting, and purse seining.

According to the report of the State Bank of Vietnam, Nghe An branch, as of February 28, 2021, 31 ships were operating effectively, paying principal/interest as committed. 59 ships were operating at a standstill, unable to pay principal/interest as committed, with outstanding debt of VND 438.4 billion, overdue principal debt of VND 121.74 billion. 5 ships could not operate due to risks during operation, outstanding debt of VND 39.1 billion.

*UThe Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 713/QD-UBND onrecognition of achieving literacy standards, universal preschool education for 5-year-old children, universal primary education, and universal lower secondary education by 2020.

Accordingly, at the preschool level, 21/21 districts, cities and towns have met the standards for universal preschool education for 5-year-old children. The province also has 21 units meeting the standards for eliminating illiteracy at level 2.

*CAlso related to the field of education, recently at the 2021 Nghe An Provincial Excellent Student Exam, Nguyen Thi Hoai Linh, a 9th grade student at Tam Quang Secondary School, Tuong Duong district, achievedvaledictorian of both History and Geography. The score for both subjects is 16.13 points.

*3Young man does wheelies to show off his "achievement" on TikTokfined more than 30 million dongAccordingly, on the afternoon of March 29, Lieutenant Colonel Bui Khac Tien - Deputy Head of Anh Son District Police said that the unit had just decided to administratively fine a group of young men who wheelied and swerved on National Highway 7.

Previously, in early March, a clip was shared on social media recording a group of young men doing wheelies, weaving and swerving on National Highway 7A. During the investigation, the Anh Son District Police summoned the entire group to work. The total administrative fine for these subjects was more than 30 million VND.
