Nghe An: Highlights on September 30

* On the morning of September 30, the regular September Government meeting and the Government's online conference with localities opened.chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.The conference was held online between the Government Headquarters and the People's Committee Headquarters of 63 provinces and centrally-run cities.

The conference discussed the socio-economic situation in September and the first 9 months of 2023; implementation of Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP of the Government; implementation of the socio-economic recovery and development program; allocation and disbursement of public investment capital; implementation of 3 National Target Programs and mid-term assessment of the implementation of the Government's Action Program for the 2021-2026 term to implement the National Assembly's Resolution on the 5-year socio-economic development plan for 2021-2025.

* Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee andDelegation of Nghe An provincevisited and worked with Cerro Navia district, Santiago, Republic of Chile, on September 29 (local time).

Welcoming the Nghe An delegation were the District Chief of Cerro Navia, Santiago, Republic of Chile - Mr. Mauro Elias Tamayo and many local people.

At the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong, Ambassador Pham Truong Giang and District Chief Mauro Elias Tamayo all wished to continue expanding the cooperative relationship in socio-economic development between Nghe An and Santiago.

* On September 30, in Budapest, Hungary, a working delegation of Nghe An province led by comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee,Attend the European Overseas Vietnamese Business Forum12th time.

Speaking at the Forum, Comrade Le Hong Vinh expressed his joy at participating in this meaningful event. This is an opportunity for Nghe An province to introduce its potential and strengths in attracting investment; at the same time, introduce typical products of Nghe An to overseas Vietnamese businesses and businesses from European countries.

* Vinh City is preparing to turn 60. This is an important moment marking a new development step. In the strategy and vision of the Central Government and Nghe An province, the expanded Vinh City is a coastal city, playing the role of an economic and cultural center of the entire North Central region.

* On the morning of September 30, the Military Party Committee of Nghe An province organizedCollective and individual review conferenceStanding Committee of the Provincial Military Party Committee in 2023.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Ky Hong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command requested that in 2024, the Provincial Military Party Committee continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement resolutions, directives, regulations and instructions of superiors on military and defense tasks.

* On the morning of September 30, Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province led a working delegation of the Department to visit the Medical Center of Tuong Duong district toencourage and visit 2 teachers who had an accidenton the way back from teaching. Also accompanying the group was Mr. Lo Thanh Nhat - Vice Chairman of Tuong Duong District People's Committee.

After giving gifts to support the two teachers, Mr. Thai Van Thanh asked the school and the leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Tuong Duong district to pay attention and create conditions for the teachers to rest and receive treatment.
