*CAfternoon 5/8, Tan Ky District Party Committeeopening of preparatory sessionThe 21st Congress of Delegates, term 2020 - 2025. The Congress was attended by 245 delegates representing 6,742 party members of 53 affiliated grassroots party organizations. At the preparatory session, the Congress voted to approve the list of the Presidium consisting of 7 comrades; the Secretariat consisting of 2 comrades; the Delegate Qualification Examination Board consisting of 5 comrades. The Congress also listened to a report summarizing opinions and participated in discussions and comments on the draft documents of the 13th National Party Congress and the Political Report of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

*SOn August 5, Nghe An Province Center for Disease Control said that the unit had found2 passengers sharing a carwith "patient 620". Of these two people, one lives in Ben Thuy ward (Vinh city), the other lives in Minh Chau commune, Dien Chau district. Both were then taken to centralized quarantine and tested. The first results showed that both were negative for Covid-19.

*TGiven the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic,travel needsof Nghe An people in particular has decreased sharply; at the train stations and bus stations, there are currently few people. According to statistics from the Management Board of Bac Vinh Bus Station, if on normal days the number of passengers fluctuates over 4,000/day, now it has decreased by about 80%.

*NAugust 5, Nghe An Provincial People's Court openedfirst instance criminal trialCao Xuan Hieu (born in 1984), residing in Hamlet 6, Dien Thanh Commune, Dien Chau District, was tried for the crime of "Illegal transportation of narcotics". Considering the entire case, the court sentenced Cao Xuan Hieu to life in prison for the crime of illegal transportation of narcotics.
