Nghe An: Highlights of September 5th

*On the afternoon of September 5th, in Vinh City, the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, the Central Propaganda Department, and the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee jointly organized an event.Scientific conference: “Comrade Le Hong Phong - a staunch communist fighter”"...an outstanding leader of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution." The scientific conference is a practical activity to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Le Hong Phong (1902 - 2022); it is also an opportunity for cadres, Party members and the people to continue to express gratitude and honor the great contributions of Comrade Le Hong Phong to the Vietnamese revolution and his homeland of Nghe An.

*On the afternoon of September 5th, during a visit and working trip to Nghe An,Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc- The Politburo member and President visited and worked at the VSIP Industrial Park; presented gifts to 15 families of war veterans, policy beneficiaries, and poor households; and visited former leaders of Nghe An province.

*Joining in the nationwide atmosphere of welcoming the new school year 2022-2023, this morning,Over 1,500 schools across Nghe An province officially commenced the new school year.This school year, Nghe An province has over 800,000 students across all four levels of education: preschool, primary, secondary, and high school, making it one of the provinces with the largest number of students in the country. In commemoration of the 120th anniversary of the birth of General Secretary Le Hong Phong,Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang- Member of the Politburo, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council attended the opening ceremony of the 2022-2023 school year at Le Hong Phong High School, Hung Thong commune, Hung Nguyen district.

Also on the morning of September 5th, members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee attended the opening ceremonies in various localities.

*The heavy rain on the night of September 4th in Ky Son border district (Nghe An province) hascausing significant damage to people's property.In many communes, on the afternoon of September 5th, in an interview with Nghe An Newspaper, the Head of the Education and Training Department of Ky Son district said: Currently, the district is trying to clear the roads that have been damaged by subsidence and landslides. In addition, the department has also promptly encouraged schools to overcome the difficulties in the new school year.
