*For over a month now,Vegetable prices in traditional markets increased dramatically, some leafy vegetables increased 2-3 times compared to before.

According to the investigation of Nghe An Newspaper reporters, the reason for the sudden increase in vegetable prices is due to limited supply. The unfavorable weather in May caused unseasonal rains that caused flooding, causing vegetables to rot and wilt. Then, there were consecutive hot spells with Lao winds, making it difficult for vegetables to grow, forcing many vegetable growing areas to switch to drought-resistant crops. Meanwhile, some types of fruits and vegetables that were in peak harvest season had a bad harvest.

*Le Khanh Tung is a rather special male student at Vinh University High School for the Gifted, as he simultaneously received admission results from dozens of universities around the world. However, instead of choosing to study abroad, he chose to study in Vietnam with a rather special major: Foreign Language Pedagogy.

With IELTS 8.0 and third prize - national excellent student in English, Tung seemed not to be under too much pressure to enter universities. Therefore, from the end of grade 11, after basically completing his goal,Tung started to research and "hunt" for scholarships at foreign universities.

After more than 1 year of perseverance, according to Tung's statistics, there are now dozens of universities that have sent him invitations to study or granted him scholarships with the scholarship value for one academic year being more than 26 billion VND and for 4 academic years being over 80 billion VND. Among these are quite a few prestigious universities that are ranked quite highly in the UK and the US.

At this time, Tung also received the admission results from three domestic universities, namely Foreign Trade University, National Economics University and Foreign Language University - Hanoi National University. Surprisingly, instead of choosing a university abroad, Tung did not hesitate to choose Foreign Language University and enrolled in English Pedagogy to fulfill his dream of becoming a teacher.

Le Khanh Tung started applying for foreign scholarships at the end of grade 11 and received invitations from more than 100 schools, of which about 70 schools offered scholarships. Photo: My Ha
