Nghe An: Highlights of December 9th

(Baonghean.vn) - Today, the 11th session of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council, 18th term, 2021-2026, held its closing session. At this session, the Provincial People's Council reviewed and approved 34 reports and 19 resolutions. Many of these resolutions are expected to create momentum for the province's socio-economic development in 2023.

*On the morning of December 9th, after 2.5 days of work,11th Session of the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's CouncilThe term 2021-2026 has completed its planned program and is proceeding with the closing ceremony.

On the agenda, the 11th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council reviewed and evaluated 34 reports on the implementation of the socio-economic development plan, public investment, and national target programs; the results of the 2022 work of the Standing Committee, the Committees of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Court, the Provincial People's Procuracy, and the Provincial Civil Enforcement Department; the results of the Provincial People's Council's thematic supervision of state management of mineral resources in Nghe An province; the results of the Provincial People's Council's thematic supervision of the implementation of the Provincial People's Council's resolutions on land recovery and land use conversion according to the provisions of the Land Law for the implementation of projects in Nghe An province during the 2016-2021 period; and other reports as prescribed by law.

The Provincial People's Council also unanimously approved 19 resolutions, creating an important legal basis to promote socio-economic development and ensure national defense and security of the province in 2023 and the following years.

*Previously,The Provincial People's Council session program has adopted a Resolution.Regulations stipulate that a percentage of land use fee revenue from projects with land use fee collection shall be allocated to the provincial budget to provide funding for compensation and support for land clearance for the Vinh International Airport project and for the construction of a bridge connecting National Highway 7C with the Cua Lo deep-water port.

The Provincial People's Council has decided to allocate 100% of the revenue from land use fees for four urban projects in Vinh City to the provincial budget to create a capital source to support compensation and land clearance for the Vinh International Airport project and to invest in the construction of a bridge connecting National Highway 7C with Cua Lo Deepwater Port.

*Regarding the public investment plan for the coming period, at this session, the Provincial People's Council has considered andthrough the draft Resolution on the Public Investment Plan.In 2023, the total state budget allocated was over 9,033 billion VND. Of this, over 3,960 billion VND came from the central government budget and over 5,072 billion VND from local government budgets.

*On December 8-9, a liên ngành (inter-agency) working group from the National Committee for AIDS Prevention and Control and the Prevention of Drug Abuse and Prostitution, led by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong - Deputy Minister of Health, conducted a working program in Nghe An province.AIDS prevention and control effortsand drug abuse and prostitution.

Appreciating the efforts of Nghe An province, the delegation also offered suggestions to further improve the effectiveness of AIDS prevention and control, as well as drug and prostitution prevention and control in the locality; at the same time, they acknowledged the recommendations and proposals of Nghe An province and answered some questions related to legal documents, regulations, and policies.

*On the morning of December 9th,The Military Command of Nghe An province organized a Military-Political Conference.Summary of military and defense work in 2022, and implementation of tasks for 2023.

In his remarks at the conference, Major General Le Hong Nhan, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, emphasized: In 2023, Nghe An province is expected to face many difficulties and complex challenges, including extreme weather and unpredictable natural disasters, which will affect the implementation of military and national defense tasks.

Therefore, the Party Committee and the Military Command of Nghe An province need to continue to thoroughly understand and study the resolutions of the Party at all levels on military and national defense tasks. They should continue to do a good job of advising the local Party committees and authorities on military and national defense tasks, in conjunction with studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh.

*Immediately following the incident at Le Mao Primary School (Vinh City) which resulted in 6 students being hospitalized, local authorities areThoroughly inspect the grocery stores located in front of the school.

On December 9th, Mr. Nguyen Tam Ky, Chairman of the People's Committee of Le Mao Ward (Vinh City), stated that regarding the case of students suspected of being poisoned by inhaling fumes from toy guns, the ward has ordered the closure of the convenience store in front of Le Mao Primary School. This store was the one that sold the toy guns to the students.

Also on this occasion, Vinh Tan ward conducted inspections of grocery stores selling goods in front of the school gates.

*According to the local authorities of Hanh Lam commune (Thanh Chuong district), the area has recently experienced an outbreak.An explosion occurred, leaving one person seriously injured.

According to reports, the explosion occurred at approximately 11:00 AM on December 9th at a coffee shop in Hamlet 3, Hanh Lam Commune.

At that moment, after hearing a loud explosion at the shop that damaged many items, people discovered a severely injured man lying on the floor, his hand crushed, his abdomen punctured, and bleeding profusely. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
