Nghe An Provincial Military Command deploys military and defense tasks in 2023

In 2022, despite many difficulties, the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command closely followed the Resolution and orders on military and defense tasks of the Military Region Command and the task situation of units and localities, made efforts, proactively advised local Party committees and authorities and effectively implemented military and defense tasks.

Along with that, the Provincial Party Committee and Military Command have proactively grasped the situation, advised on policies and solutions to maintain stability in the area; effectively deployed the roadmap for implementing projects on military and defense tasks for the period 2021 - 2025; advised, led, directed, and organized two drills on defense areas and civil defense in the province to ensure absolute safety.

Advise and direct district, city, town party committees and subordinate party committees to summarize 10 years of implementing the Central Resolution (11th term) on "Homeland protection strategy in the new situation". Successfully organize the scientific conference on the 50th anniversary of the Plain of Jars and Xieng Khouang defense campaign and organize the solemn and serious burial ceremony for 103 remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos in the dry season of 2021-2022 in Nghi Loc district.

Military recruitment, enrollment and training for national defense and security were implemented synchronously and achieved 100% of assigned targets; the state management function on national defense was well performed.

Strictly maintain combat readiness; proactively deploy forces and vehicles to participate in rescue, firefighting, and forest fire fighting in the area. Party and political work were comprehensively and effectively deployed; inspection and supervision work was actively and effectively deployed; mass mobilization work was well implemented; social policies and policies for people with revolutionary contributions were ensured; logistics, technical and financial work for tasks were well ensured.

Deploying the 2023 mission, Major General Le Hong Nhan emphasized: In 2023, it is forecasted that Nghe An province will still face many difficulties, with many potential complex factors, extreme weather, and unpredictable natural disasters, affecting the implementation of military and defense tasks.

Therefore, the Party Committee and Military Command of Nghe An province need to continue to thoroughly grasp and study the resolutions of the Party at all levels on military and defense tasks. Along with that, organize training, education, and foster national defense and security knowledge for the subjects. Organize selection and assignment of troops to reach 100%; ensure good logistics and finance for the missions; regularly check, grasp the quantity, quality and ensure good weapons and technical equipment for combat readiness missions.

Besides, doing well in national defense diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy has made an important contribution to promoting local socio-economic development and firmly protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

Recognizing the results achieved by the Nghe An Provincial Military Command in 2022, the Military Region 4 Command proposed the Government to award the Emulation Flag.

With the efforts, attempts and achievements of officers and soldiers of Nghe An Armed Forces, 210 collectives and 561 individuals were commended in the 2022 Emulation Movement.
