Nghe An seizes tens of thousands of COVID-19 rapid test kits of unknown origin

(Baonghean.vn) - During a series of inspections of pharmacies in the province, provincial authorities have just seized tens of thousands of Covid-19 rapid test kits and sample strips of unknown origin.

Information from the Economic Police Department,Nghe An Provincial Policesaid, the unit has just coordinated with Nghe An Market Management Department to inspect a number of medical supply stores and drug stores in Vinh city.

Accordingly, on March 3, after inspecting the NK drug store (Nguyen Phong Sac street, Hung Dung ward), the authorities discovered 1,880 sets oftest kitrapid test kits and 351 bottles of various hand sanitizers. This shipment has an unknown origin and is worth about 200 million VND. Authorities have discovered tens of thousands of rapid test kits and sample strips, and 650 bottles of hand sanitizer of unknown origin.

Checking the H.D. pharmacy (address at 34, Ho Tong Thoc street, Nghi Phu commune, Vinh city) managed by NTT (born in 1993), discovered 2,500 rapid test kits, 20,000 COVID-19 sample strips of various types, of unknown origin, worth about 250 million VND.

TN Pharmacy (located at 10 Ho Tong Thoc Street, Nghi Phu Commune) managed by NTTT (born in 1992) also discovered 215 bottles of various hand sanitizers of unknown origin, worth about 20 million VND.

Previously, Nghi Loc District Police inspected the express delivery car with license plate 37H-023.97 belonging to Anh Hong Express Delivery Company, driven by NMC (born in 1970, residing in Buoi Ward, Tay Ho District, Hanoi).

Upon inspection, the vehicle was found to be carrying 20 cardboard boxes containing 30,000 COVID-19 rapid antigen test kits manufactured abroad (the packaging had foreign writing on it, without a Vietnamese sub-label). At the time of inspection, the driver could not present invoices or documents related to the above goods. The value of the violating shipment was more than 1.5 billion VND.
