Nghe An's budget revenue in 5 months is estimated at 10,846 billion VND.
In the first 5 months of the year, Nghe An estimated budget revenue of 10,846 billion VND, reaching 61.2% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council. Of which, domestic revenue is estimated at 10,069 billion VND, reaching 62.9% of the estimate.
On the morning of June 3, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting for May 2025. Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired and directed the meeting.

Co-chairing were comrades: Bui Thanh An - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Phu Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Phung Thanh Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; and leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

Reporting at the meeting, Director of the Department of Finance Trinh Thanh Hai said that despite many difficulties and impacts, state budget collection in the area achieved positive results.
In the first 5 months of the year, estimated revenue was 10,846 billion VND, reaching 61.2% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council, equal to 103.5% of the same period. Of which, domestic revenue was estimated at 10,069 billion VND, reaching 62.9% of the estimate.

Land use fee revenue is estimated at 3,610 billion VND. Excluding land use fee revenue and lottery revenue, domestic revenue is estimated at 6,438 billion VND. Revenue from import and export activities is estimated at 701.3 billion VND. Aid revenue is estimated at 0.299 billion VND. Revenue from mobilized sources and planning funding is estimated at 75.5 billion VND.
In May 2025, the province approved investment policies/issued investment registration certificates for 7 projects and adjusted 18 projects. The total newly granted and adjusted investment capital was 642.9 billion VND.

In the first 5 months of the year, the province approved investment policies/issued investment registration certificates for 23 projects and adjusted 73 projects. The total newly granted and increased investment capital was VND 8,098.4 billion.
Of which, foreign direct investment (FDI) was newly granted to 7 projects with a total registered investment capital of 65.2 million USD, and adjusted capital for 6 projects with a total investment increase of 65.9 million USD. The total newly granted and adjusted capital was 131.1 million USD.

Export turnover in May 2025 is estimated at 320 million USD, up 11.63%, import turnover is estimated at 200 million USD, equal to 80.38% of the same period. In the first 5 months of the year, export turnover is estimated at 1,461 million USD, import turnover is estimated at 1,124 million USD.
May is the beginning of the tourist season in coastal areas (Cua Lo, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Hoang Mai...) attracting a large number of tourists for sightseeing and relaxation. It is estimated that in May 2025, the number of tourists will reach 1.4 million, of which 850,000 will be overnight guests, with total revenue from tourists reaching 4,163 billion VND.

As of May 20, 2025, the total public investment plan for 2025 has disbursed more than VND 2,703 billion, reaching 27.03%. Of which, the concentrated public investment source has disbursed VND 1,063.75 billion, reaching 22.56%.
The Provincial People's Committee has submitted documents to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction to synthesize and report to the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister on the investment plan, implementation time and capital source to implement the Vinh - Thanh Thuy expressway construction investment project.
The industrial production index (IIP) in May is estimated to increase by 18.4% over the same period, bringing the cumulative increase in the first 5 months to 13.89% over the same period. Of which, the mining industry increased by 15.91%, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 13.69%, and the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 16.01%.
