Nghe An: Import-export tax collection reaches over 800 billion VND
(Baonghean.vn) - In the first 6 months of the year, import and export activities of Nghe An enterprises were quite active, contributing to increasing import taxes.
On the morning of July 10, Nghe An Customs Department held a conference to review the work of the first 6 months and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2018.

With the determination to create favorable conditions for enterprises, Nghe An Customs Department continues to carry out administrative reforms and drastically and effectively deploy work programs, contributing to attracting investment to the province.
According to the report of Nghe An Customs Department, in the first 6 months of the year, there were 234 enterprises participating in customs procedures, an increase of 29 enterprises compared to the same period in 2017. There were 5,498 vehicles entering and exiting the country, a decrease of 187 compared to the same period in 2017.
There have been 10,234 declarations registered for procedures, an increase of 16.7% over the same period last year. Main import and export items: Export of various types of white limestone, clinker, construction materials...; import of machinery and equipment, various types of steel, rolled aluminum, plastic granules, electronic components...
Import-export turnover reached over 709 million USD, up 38.8% over the same period in 2017; due to the recent start of operations of a number of new enterprises in processing, manufacturing and exporting.
Import-export tax revenue reached over VND 822 billion, up 20.3% over the same period in 2017; collected VND 450 million in tax arrears.
The work of preventing smuggling and trade fraud in the first 6 months of 2018 has been actively implemented by the Provincial Customs Department, promptly detecting and arresting many large and complicated cases; contributing to preventing loss of state budget revenue, protecting the interests of people and businesses...

On this occasion, the Nghe An Customs Department received a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Finance; the Provincial Customs Department and 7 units under the Department were awarded the title of excellent labor collective in 2017 by the Ministry of Finance; 1 collective and 1 individual of the Provincial Customs Department were awarded by the National Steering Committee for Prevention of Smuggling, Trade Fraud and Counterfeit Goods.
Three individuals with outstanding achievements in their work were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister.
