Nghe An receives aid ship from Japan

Pursuant to Decision No. 1464-UBND dated April 13, 2017 of the Provincial People's Committee on receiving the ship of the International Small Vessel Recycle Project (Japan), the Provincial People's Committee has agreed to assign the Department of Transport to carry out procedures to receive and use the ship to serve state management work according to the tasks and functions of the Department.
On the morning of April 28, the Department of Transport held a ceremony to receive a relief ship from the International Small Vessel Recycle Project (Japan). Attending the ceremony was Mr. Muraoh Hideki - President of the International Small Vessel Recycle Project (Japan). Attending the event were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Hong Ky - Director of the Department of Transport; departments and offices of the Department of Transport, road and inland waterway management units in the province. At the ceremony, representatives of the International Small Vessel Recycle Project (Japan) non-profit organization handed over the Hamakaze composite hull boat with a capacity of 9 passengers and one staff member, and an engine capacity of 30CV to the Nghe An Department of Transport.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien expressed his sincere thanks to the International Small Vessel Recycle Project (Japan). The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Vietnam - Japan in general, Nghe An with Japan and the people of Japanese provinces have a traditional friendly and cooperative relationship.
This cooperative relationship is increasingly developing and reaching new heights. Japan is a priority investment partner of Nghe An province, so in recent times, delegations of provincial leaders have directly visited, worked and promoted investment in Japan. In particular, many Japanese investors have successfully invested in the locality, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.

The donation of the Hamakaze ship by the International Small Vessel Recycle Project (Japan) once again affirms the friendly relationship between Japan and Nghe An province. This is of great significance, contributing to the provision of additional working equipment, effectively serving the patrol and control of inland waterways in the province. Nghe An Department of Transport will effectively utilize the Hamakaze ship.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the International Small Vessel Recycle Project (Japan) will pay more attention to Vietnam and Nghe An province through people-to-people diplomacy channels as a bridge to promote the image of Nghe An province, contributing to calling for Japanese investors to come and explore investment cooperation in the province. At the same time, he hopes that the organization will continue to have many activities to support Nghe An in various fields.
Mr. Muraoh Hideki - President of the non-profit organization International Small Vessel Recycle Project (Japan) affirmed: In the coming time, the organization will continue to provide 30 more ships to Nghe An province and propose the Japanese Government to support the operation of a Roro ship with enough capacity to transport the above ships for Vietnam.
At the same time, the International Small Vessel Recycle Project (Japan) is promoting the implementation of a ship repair and building factory in Vietnam. When put into operation, the factory will supply ships not only to Vietnam but also to other Southeast Asian markets.
