Nghe An continues to petition the Central Government to allocate enough Covid-19 vaccines for children aged 12-17

On the morning of December 7, at the 4th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented a summary report on the results of handling voters' petitions at the 2nd session of the 18th Provincial People's Council.

RECEIVE, RESOLVE AND FULL RESPONSE TO 100% OF PROPOSALS

According to the representative of the Provincial People's Committee, the 2nd session of the 18th Provincial People's Council had 188 opinions and recommendations from voters sent to the Provincial People's Committee for resolution. With a sense of responsibility to voters, the Provincial People's Committee has directed departments, branches, sectors and localities to actively and proactively research, receive, resolve and fully respond to 100% of the recommendations and requested contents.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directly responded and clarified a number of comments and recommendations from voters in localities surrounding difficulties and shortcomings in practice. For example, with the comments of voters in Ky Son district that currently, there are some villages that have not yet installed a broadcasting system, so there are many difficulties in propagating the Party and State's policies and guidelines to the people, Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa said that on October 12, 2021, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 3752/QD-UBND on approving the Project "Improving the operational efficiency, gradually modernizing the grassroots radio system in Nghe An province, period 2021 - 2025". In the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee will continue to direct departments and branches to effectively implement the above project.

The petition of voters of Nam Dan district expressed the wish to have a mechanism to provide additional support for the construction of cultural houses in hamlets and blocks after the merger because the current support level is too low. Accordingly, due to the limited budget allocation, it cannot meet all local needs, so the province will implement in order of priority, first of all, the villages, hamlets, and blocks that do not have cultural houses, then the villages, hamlets, blocks, and especially difficult hamlets; the villages, hamlets, blocks, and blocks in communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas and the villages, hamlets, blocks, and blocks after the merger in region III, region II; the villages, hamlets, blocks, and blocks in communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in region I and the villages, hamlets, blocks, and blocks after the merger, the villages, hamlets, blocks, and blocks that register, commit, and are on the roadmap to complete the task of meeting new rural standards, period 2021 - 2025...

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee also took time to respond to the opinions of voters of Thai Hoa town requesting clarification of responsibilities in the design and construction of the pumping station project and Ban Mong canal system in hamlet 4 (former Nghia Hoa commune), now Long Son ward, causing waste of the State budget, not bringing efficiency, and hindering people's internal traffic.

ENSURING PROGRESS AND MEETING PEOPLE'S NEEDS FOR COVID-19 VACCINATION

Responding to voters' opinions requesting the Provincial People's Committee to recommend the Government to soon ensure the source of Covid-19 vaccines for mass vaccination for the people, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa said that recently, the Provincial People's Committee has issued decisions on the establishment of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign in Nghe An province; Plan for the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign, period 2021-2022; Regulations on the operation of the Steering Committee for the vaccination campaign in Nghe An province. At the same time, it directed and guided localities to establish Steering Committees and develop plans to implement the vaccination campaign in the area.

Up to now, in the whole province, the number of people over 18 years old who have received at least 1 injection is 1,898,928 (accounting for 77.6% of people over 18 years old and 56.2% of the total population according to statistics). The number of people who have received 2 injections is: 1,388,201 people (accounting for 56.7% of people over 18 years old and 40.7% of the total population according to statistics).

The Provincial People's Committee also issued Plan No. 701/KH-UBND dated November 24, 2021 on the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination for children aged 12-17 in Nghe An province in 2021-2022. To date, 95,767 children have been vaccinated (accounting for30.7%children aged 12-17).

In the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee will continue to recommend the Central Government to allocate the expected quantity of vaccines and will immediately allocate them to districts, cities and towns after receiving the Central Government's allocation decision, while directing the implementation of vaccination work quickly, safely, effectively and ensuring progress to meet people's needs.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee also clarified the petition of Cua Lo town voters wishing to soon implement Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP on policies to support employees and employers facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa affirmed that, based on the directive documents of the central ministries, branches, and the Provincial People's Committee, the departments and branches have concretized and implemented this content. To date, the total number of approved support beneficiaries: 41,423 beneficiaries, with a support budget of 61 billion 841 million VND.

The leader of the Provincial People's Committee added that the Provincial People's Committee will direct the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to advise on the implementation of Resolution 126/NQ-CP dated October 8, 2021 amending and supplementing Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP of the Government immediately after the Decision amending and supplementing Decision No. 23/2021/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister is issued.
