Nghe An continues to discharge water from Khe Bo hydroelectric reservoir, Tam Quang commune
Khe Bo Hydropower Reservoir is expected to start increasing water discharge from 6 p.m. on September 27.
At 3:33 p.m. on September 27, the Provincial Civil Defense Command received Notice No. 224 dated September 27, 2025 from Khe Bo Hydropower Plant on increasing the discharge flow of Khe Bo Hydropower Reservoir to ensure the safety of the project.
To ensure the safe regulation of water in Khe Bo Hydropower Plant's reservoir according to the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures in the Ca River basin, Khe Bo Hydropower Plant plans to operate and regulate water in Khe Bo Hydropower Plant's reservoir as follows:
Estimated time of increased discharge is at 18:00, September 27, 2025.
Total water flow through the spillway and through the generators is from 1,500m3/s to 3,000m3/s and may vary depending on the water flow to the lake.
Time to end water discharge through spillway compartment: When water flow to the lake is less than power generation flow through generators.
The Provincial Civil Defense Command notifies the People's Committees of the following communes and wards: Tam Quang, Con Cuong, Cam Phuc, Chau Khe, Mau Thach, Anh Son, Yen Xuan, Nhan Hoa, Anh Son Dong, Vinh Tuong, Thanh Binh Tho, Do Luong, Bach Ngoc, Van Hien, Bach Ha, Thuan Trung, Luong Son, Cat Ngan, Dai Dong, Xuan Lam, Hoa Quan, Bich Hao, Kim Bang, Tam Dong, Kim Lien, Thien Nhan, Dai Hue, Nam Dan, Van An, Lam Thanh, Hung Nguyen, Yen Trung, Hung Nguyen Nam, Nghi Loc, Phuc Loc, Dong Loc, Trung Loc, Than Linh, Hai Loc, Tien Dong, Truong Vinh, Thanh Vinh, Vinh Hung, Vinh Phu, Vinh Loc, Cua Lo; Heads of provincial departments, branches and sectors are informed to notify authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the downstream area of Khe Bo Hydropower Plant to carry out necessary work, ensuring the safety of life and property of the State and people.
