(Baonghean.vn) - According to the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, in the first 7 days of July, Nghe An destroyed 656 pigs, with a total weight of nearly 35 tons.

Accordingly, in the first 7 days of July, 5 new outbreaks occurred in Nghe An including: Dien Lam (Dien Chau), Quang Phong (Que Phong) and Bac Thanh, Nam Thanh, Hop Thanh (Yen Thanh).

In addition, in many other localities, African swine fever continues to spread: Quynh Thanh, Quynh Bang, Quynh Minh (Quynh Luu); Phuc Thanh, Nhan Thanh, Long Thanh, Lien Thanh (Yen Thanh); Nghi Kim (Vinh City), Tri Le (Que Phong), Dien Xuan (Dien Chau).

Thus, by July 6, in Nghe An, African swine fever occurred in 1,767 households, 380 hamlets, and 143 communes, 18 districts, towns and cities. Total number of pigs destroyed: 7,076, total weight nearly 317 tons. Of which, 38 communes have declared the epidemic over, but 6 communes have had a recurrence of the epidemic.
