Nghe An destroys smuggled, counterfeit and poor quality goods worth over 1 billion VND
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 31, in Vinh city, Nghe An Market Management Department destroyed a large quantity of smuggled, counterfeit, and poor quality goods worth more than 1 billion VND.

The destroyed goods included 2,605 packs of smuggled cigarettes, 1,617 kg of medicinal herbs of unknown origin, over 600 tubes of toothpaste, and hundreds of packs of candy of unknown origin... In particular, there were over 30 types of children's toys of unknown origin such as guns, swords, tanks, airplanes and many types of cosmetics...
These are items of unknown origin, counterfeit goods, and smuggled goods that have been recovered by teams of the Provincial Market Management Department since June 2018.

Based on each type of goods, the destruction council decides to choose the appropriate form of destruction, ensuring compliance with regulations and environmental hygiene.
This destruction includes 97 types of violating goods worth over 1 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Deputy Director of the Department of Market Management said: From now until the end of the year, especially during the Lunar New Year, violations of smuggled goods and goods of unknown origin will become more complicated. The Department of Market Management will continue to strengthen comprehensive inspections in the province to promptly detect and handle violations.
