Nghe An organizes a journalism contest to write about models and typical examples of 'Skilled Mass Mobilization'

On the afternoon of May 15, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee held a meeting to advise on the implementation of a journalism contest on typical models and examples of "Skilled Mass Mobilization" in Nghe An province in 2023.

Attending the meeting were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association, Nghe An Newspaper and Provincial Radio and Television Station.

At the meeting, based on the draft plan for organizing and the rules of the journalism contest on typical models and "Skillful People's Mobilization" of Nghe An province in 2023, developed by the Provincial Party Committee's People's Mobilization Committee, the meeting participants discussed many contents related to the time frame for publishing and receiving works; the force participating in the contest, in addition to journalists, needs to mobilize People's Mobilization officers to participate; consider increasing the prize structure and reward level; how to organize the contest; regulations on criteria for each type of journalism.

Some members also gave suggestions to supplement the composition of the contest organizing committee, the jury; the review, selection, announcement and awarding process...

Works participating in the contest must be published and broadcast on all types of press: print, electronic, radio, and television licensed by competent State agencies; and must not have won national press awards, central ministries, branches, and provincial press awards.

The award structure includes First, Second, Third, and Encouragement prizes in four types of journalism: print, electronic, radio, and television. Works participating in the award can be used, published, and broadcast on press agencies from January 1, 2023 to September 15, 2023.

The purpose of the contest is to concretize Directive No. 05, issued on May 23, 2021 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on improving the effectiveness of the emulation movement "Skilled Mass Mobilization" in the province; contribute to raising the awareness of the political system about the role of mass mobilization work in general and the emulation movement "Skilled Mass Mobilization" in particular; promote the responsibility of cadres doing mass mobilization work at all levels in implementing the emulation movement "Skilled Mass Mobilization", introduce and truly reflect models and typical examples of "Skilled Mass Mobilization" with quality and effectiveness in the province.

The contest is a premise to commend models and typical examples of "Skilled Mass Mobilization" in the province in the mid-term of implementing the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels and the Resolution of the 19th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

At the end of the meeting, comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee for the emulation movement "Skilled Mass Mobilization" acknowledged and accepted the opinions at the meeting to supplement the draft plan for organizing and the rules of the press contest on typical models and examples of "Skilled Mass Mobilization" in Nghe An province in 2023 before consulting and submitting to the Provincial Steering Committee for the emulation movement "Skilled Mass Mobilization".

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee requested Nghe An Newspaper and Nghe An Radio and Television Station to prioritize time and build a column to publish and broadcast works participating in the contest, contributing to spreading the works, models, and typical examples of "Skilled Mass Mobilization", ensuring the quality of the contest.

In addition to the team of professional journalists, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee will mobilize cadres and civil servants in the political system, especially the team of Mass Mobilization cadres at all levels to participate in this contest.
