Nghe An organizes the 5th Excellent Mediator Competition in 2023
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of August 15 and morning of August 16, in Vinh City, the People's Committee of Nghe An province organized the 5th Nghe An Province Excellent Mediator Competition and the preliminary round of region 1.
Attending were Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Trang, Director of the Department of Justice and representatives of relevant departments, agencies and branches.
In Nghe An province, there are currently 3,876 mediation teams with 26,402 mediators. On average, each year, more than 4,000 cases are received for mediation, of which 3,000 cases are successfully mediated. Mediation work at the grassroots level plays an important role and significance in life. Mediation is the optimal solution and path to resolve conflicts and disagreements, etc., not letting "a small problem lead to a big problem".
The contest is organized with the aim of raising social awareness of the position and role of mediation at the grassroots level, and at the same time, creating a forum for exchange. The contest is expected to be a place for mediators to exchange experiences and mediation skills at the grassroots level.
Not only that, the contest also commends and honors outstanding examples in mediation work at the grassroots level in the area, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of mediation work at the grassroots level.
The contest is organized in a dramatized form, including 4 parts: Introduction; Legal knowledge; Situation handling; Skit.
The exam content includes: Mediation skills of mediators; Laws on mediation at the grassroots level; Basic rights and obligations of citizens according to the 2013 Constitution; regulations in a number of areas related to mediation work at the grassroots level, such as: Civil, marriage and family, land, housing, gender equality, prevention and control of domestic violence, environmental protection...
The provincial competition is organized in 02 rounds. The preliminary round is organized in 03 regions with 21 teams from 21 districts and cities.
At the end of the 2-day preliminary round of Region 1, the Jury selected 1 First Prize for the Team from Hung Nguyen District, and 2nd Prize for Dien Chau District.
After the Preliminary Round in all 3 regions, the Organizing Committee will select 12 teams to participate in the Final Round. The best team will be selected to represent Nghe An province to participate in the 4th National Competition.
