Nghe An holds a memorial service to commemorate the 119th death anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's mother
(Baonghean.vn) - In a solemn atmosphere, the children of Uncle Ho's homeland respectfully offered incense to commemorate Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan - President Ho Chi Minh's mother on her death anniversary.
On the morning of January 16, in Nam Dan district, a ceremony was held to commemorate the 119th anniversary of the death of President Ho Chi Minh's mother.
Attending the ceremony were comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Colonel Nguyen Van Man - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4; comrade Ho Mau Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Culture & Sports; comrade Tran Van Mao - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; members of the Hoang Xuan and Nguyen Sinh families; along with local departments, branches, organizations and a large number of tourists and people in the region.

Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan was born in 1868 in Hoang Tru village, Chung Cu commune, Lam Thinh canton, Nam Duong district (now Hoang Tri village, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district). In 1883, she married Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac and had 4 children.
On February 10, 1901 (December 22, Canh Ty year), she fell seriously ill and passed away in Hue Capital, leaving behind endless grief for her family, relatives, and neighbors. Her body was buried at Tam Tang Mountain on the Huong River in Hue.
In 1922, the remains of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan were brought back by her daughter, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh, to be buried in her garden in Lang Sen - Kim Lien. In 1942, her remains were brought back by her eldest son, Mr. Nguyen Sinh Khiem, to be reburied at Dong Tranh mountain in Dai Hue range.
The life of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan is a shining example of morality and great sacrifice. Her simple and noble lifestyle is clearly reflected in the lives of her children, especially the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh.

The 119th anniversary of the death of President Ho Chi Minh's mother was solemnly and simply held according to traditional rituals, expressing the gratitude of the people of the province towards Ms. Hoang Thi Loan - the person who gave birth to and raised President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader of the Vietnamese people.
Lighting incense with deep affection, before her spirit, the Party Committee, the government, departments, branches, organizations and people of Nghe An, vow to make every effort to protect, preserve and promote the priceless heritages of the homeland, family, and childhood of President Ho Chi Minh; unite and strive to build the homeland of Nghe An, Nam Dan and Kim Lien to become increasingly prosperous, becoming a model province, district and commune as Uncle Ho always wished during his lifetime.
