Nghe An: Seminar 'Thinking and actions of female elected representatives, female leaders and managers'
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 6, in Vinh City, the Women's Union of Nghe An province organized a discussion on "Thinking and actions of female elected representatives, female leaders and managers in the era of technology 4.0", meeting with 91 female National Assembly and People's Council deputies, female leaders and managers at the provincial level.
Attending the program were comrades: Le Doan Hop - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Information and Communications, former Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; Tran Thi Huong - Vice President of Vietnam Women's Union and comrades in the working delegation.
On the side of Nghe An province delegates, there were comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Nguyen Nam Dinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Thi Kim Chi - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Provincial Agencies. In recent years, under the leadership of the Party, the work of female cadres and gender equality in Nghe An has received increasing attention. The proportion of women being planned, trained and appointed has increased. In the 2021-2026 term, at the provincial level, the proportion of women participating in Party committees is 18.75%, female leaders and managers is 17%; female National Assembly deputies are 30.77% and female members of the Provincial People's Council are 27.71%, higher than the previous term.
In all positions, female leaders, managers, and elected representatives always demonstrate exemplary behavior, responsibility, and make worthy contributions in all areas of social life, recognized by Party committees, authorities, comrades, colleagues, and the people.
Nghe An will announce the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council on the establishment and launch of the Group of female National Assembly and Provincial People's Council deputies of Nghe An for the 2021-2026 term at the 4th Session of the 18th Provincial People's Council. This activity is to implement the policy of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union in connecting the network of female leaders and managers.

In her opening speech, Chairwoman of the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Quynh Hoa emphasized: This is the first forum organized by the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union in the new term to carry out its mission in gender equality and for the advancement of women.
Speaking at the seminar, comrade Tran Thi Huong - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union assessed that Nghe An is one of the pioneering provinces in establishing the Group of female deputies of the National Assembly and People's Council of Nghe An province for the 2021 - 2026 term.
This is a very meaningful activity, an opportunity for female leaders, managers and elected officials of the province to exchange, share, learn and support each other to develop and fulfill their responsibilities well in each of their working positions.

Comrade Tran Thi Huong affirmed that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union will always accompany the activities of the Group of female National Assembly deputies and the People's Council of Nghe An province for the 2021-2026 term, helping members gain more knowledge, skills, and confidence to perform their assigned tasks.
During the program, delegates listened to Dr. Le Doan Hop directly discuss the topic "Thinking and actions of female elected representatives; female leaders and managers in the era of technology 4.0", and at the same time exchanged some experiences in performing the role of elected representatives.

At this meeting, the Organizing Committee honored the contributions of the leaders and elected representatives and hoped that the female representatives would always be full of enthusiasm to contribute to the development of the province, to the development of women and gender equality, continuing the fine tradition of women in Uncle Ho's homeland.
To promote gender equality and increase the rate of female participation in politics, the Provincial Women's Union, as an organization representing the development and progress of women, will do a good job of advising the Party in connecting, discovering, introducing female cadres for the Party to train, foster, plan and arrange.
