Nghe An honors excellent teachers at the provincial secondary school level in 2020

On the morning of November 17, the Department of Education and Training held a summary of the 2020 Provincial Excellent Teacher Competition for Secondary School Level.

This is the first contest to be held under Circular No. 22/2019/TT-BGDDT dated December 20, 2019 promulgating "Regulations on Contests".Basket teacheri preschool education facilities; excellent teachers, excellent homeroom teachers in general education facilities".

After nearly 1 month of implementation atVinh city, Cua Lo town and Dien Chau district, the contest was implemented as planned, in accordance with regulations. Many quality measures come from the teaching practices of teachers and are necessary issues for teaching the subject, contributing significantly to innovation, stimulating students to be proactive in learning, arousing interest and passion for learning, contributing to the development of students' qualities and abilities.

In the sectionteaching practice examThere were 388 teachers taking the practical exam and 380 teachers passed the exam, accounting for nearly 98% of the participants. Of these, 319 teachers achieved an average score of 17 or higher, accounting for 84%; 61 teachers achieved less than 17 points, accounting for 16%.

Through practical lessons, it can be seen that the lesson plans and teaching aids are carefully prepared by teachers, suitable for the lesson objectives, students and the requirements of educational innovation. The use of information technology and teaching aids is used fluently and effectively by teachers.

However, in addition to the achieved results, in the report on teaching measures and practices, some teachers still revealed limitations such as not having measures to improve teaching quality, the report still focused on describing teaching work, the evidence was not convincing. In teaching, the focus is on knowledge transfer, not determining the correct lesson objectives, using teaching methods and techniques, and the innovation of teaching methods is not really effective.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee recognized 380/404 participating teachers as excellent teachers at the provincial level.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the teachers. In the coming time, the Director of the Department also hopes that the teachers who have received this title will be the pillars of expertise, contributing to improving the quality of teaching in schools, being a source of additional professional core staff at the secondary level of the province, contributing with localities to effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program from the next school year.

On this occasion,Department of Education and Trainingalso awarded 6 collectives and 52 individuals with outstanding achievements in the contest. Of which, the Department of Education and Training of Vinh city and Quy Chau won the first prize, the Department of Education and Training of Do Luong and Con Cuong districts won the second prize and the Department of Education and Training of Dien Chau and Ky Son districts won the third prize.

On this occasion,Provincial Federation of Laboralso awarded prizes to 16 teachers with the highest results in the competition subjects./.
