Nghe An summarizes activities of the 2025 Workers' Month.
On the morning of June 24th, the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor Unions held a conference to review its activities during the first six months of the year and to outline key tasks for the remaining six months of 2025.
Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor; along with representatives from the Party Building Committees and full-time trade union officials from the entire system.

Of the 20 targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the following...first 6 months of the yearBy 2025, the Nghe An Trade Union has exceeded 5 targets, achieved 100% of 5 targets, nearly met 4 targets, and is continuing to implement 6 targets.
The work of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers has achieved many positive results. The Provincial Labor Federation directly organized two large-scale "Tet Reunion" programs with widespread impact and many important contents; grassroots trade unions organized more than 20 "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" programs with 70,000 union members participating; nearly 40 billion VND was spent to support more than 40,000 union members, workers, and laborers; 95 outstanding workers and laborers who are Party members were commended; 265 enterprises organized meals for workers; 27 "Trade Union Shelters" were newly built, with a total amount of 1.35 billion VND…

The 2025 Workers' Month was implemented with the theme "Vietnamese Working Class: Pioneering into a New Era," focusing on grassroots activities and creating a strong ripple effect. As a result, 358 enterprise-level trade unions organized activities in response, exceeding the target set by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor by 145%.
Some notable activities during Workers' Month included the launching ceremony of Workers' Month 2025 with an impressive folk dance performance by 1,000 workers; over 50,000 union members participating in flag-raising ceremonies and singing the national anthem at enterprises; the "Workers' Health Day" providing free health check-ups and medical consultations for over 400 workers; the "Creative Labor" forum with the theme "Strong Faith - Building the Future" which announced the "Nghe An Workers Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" award and launched the "Popular Education Movement"... During Workers' Month, 8 new grassroots trade unions were established, over 8,350 new members were admitted, and over 800 union members and workers were commended and honored.

Besides the achievements, the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor also frankly acknowledged some limitations to overcome and planned key tasks for the last six months of the year. Many insightful presentations and opinions were shared at the conference.
In his remarks at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Van De acknowledged the positive results achieved by the Nghe An Trade Union at all levels in the past period. Recognizing the efforts of collectives and individuals over the past period, the conference awarded the Emulation Flag of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee to the Finance Department and the Provincial Labor Union; awarded the Emulation Flag of the Provincial Labor Union to 8 collectives; and awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 collectives and 13 individuals with outstanding achievements during the 2025 Workers' Month.
Also on this occasion, the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor announced the decision to terminate the activities of the Provincial Party Agencies' Trade Union, the Provincial People's Committee's Trade Union, the Education Sector Trade Union, the Southeast Economic Zone Trade Union of Nghe An Province, and the Decision to...end of operationof 20 district, city, and town-level Labor Federations under the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, effective from July 1, 2025.


Concluding the conference, Comrade Kha Van Tam assessed that the first six months of the year presented many advantages but also many difficulties. However, trade union officials at all levels continued to maintain their spirit and achieved many commendable results.
The Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions expressed hope that, with the spirit of streamlining leading to excellence, the entire provincial trade union staff will continue to promote their role and functions, affirming the position of the trade union in the coming time. In the last six months of the year, it is necessary to continue raising awareness and ideology in the streamlining revolution, and to quickly establish the organizational structure at the commune and ward levels to ensure timely and effective operation. At the same time, it is necessary to continue building a highly skilled and specialized workforce, truly serving the interests of union members and workers; and to continue the function of caring for and supporting union members and workers.

In addition, we will strengthen the development of union membership and establish grassroots trade unions with the motto: wherever there is an enterprise, there is a trade union; we will promote propaganda and education, innovate working methods, including proactively coordinating with the government and relevant departments and agencies, and focusing on applying digital technology in our operations.
