Nghe An: The largest petroleum depot in the North Central region officially comes into operation
(Baonghean.vn) - The project has a total investment of about 1,400 billion VND, contributing to ensuring the supply of gasoline and oil domestically and in Laos, and is expected to contribute more than 1,000 billion VND to the budget of Nghe An province each year.
On the morning of February 23, Thien Minh Duc Group held the inauguration ceremony of DKC Petroleum Depot in Nghi Thiet commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Politburo member, Prime Minister; comrades of the Party Central Committee: Uong Chu Luu - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Ho Duc Phoc - State Auditor General; Bui Thanh Son - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Le Thi Thuy - Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission.
Former members of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee: Le Doan Hop - former Minister of Information and Communications; Truong Dinh Tuyen - former Minister of Trade.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Reporting on the project, Ms. Chu Thi Thanh - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Thien Minh Duc Group said: DKC petroleum depot and post-petroleum products are within the framework of the project "Planning the petroleum production and distribution system to 2020, vision to 2025" approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, aiming to enhance the capacity of the system of receiving and distributing warehouses in the North Central region, while ensuring the supply of petroleum volume to Laos.

On January 17, 2017, the Group was approved by the Ministry of Transport to adjust the scale of berth 1 to 49,000 tons and berth 2 to 10,000 tons. The total investment in the 2 phases is about 1,400 billion VND.
After 3 years of project implementation, on January 20, 2019, the Group welcomed the 37,000-ton Glid Ocean ship under the DKC Shipping brand of the Group to the port for the first time.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Thai Thanh Quy affirmed: This is an important event, marking Nghe An having a new, modern project, an important addition to the system of key warehouses in the North Central region; ensuring the supply of gasoline to Laos, creating more jobs for workers and especially contributing more than 1,000 billion VND to the budget of Nghe An province each year.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that all sectors and levels create the best conditions for the project to operate, and at the same time hoped that the enterprise would also comply with the provisions of the law on maritime, fire prevention and fighting, and effective production and business to increasingly make great contributions to the homeland.
