Meeting to develop a plan to inspect "illegal" vehicles with Lao license plates by the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team according to Decision 2607

According to Decision No. 2607/QD-UBND, the Interdisciplinary Team is responsible for inspecting organizations, individuals and vehicles in compliance with legal regulations on passenger transport business by cars with domestic license plates and cars with foreign license plates. At the same time, strictly and in accordance with regulations, all passenger transport vehicles that violate the regulations.

In particular, special attention is paid to inspecting and handling the following acts: vehicles without or without badges; running on the wrong route or schedule; picking up and dropping off passengers in violation of regulations; competing for passengers, collecting money from passengers in violation of regulations; carrying more people than the prescribed number; passenger transport vehicles without registering their business as prescribed; technical standards and conditions of vehicles, etc.

According to Plan 1707/KH-DKT.LN established on June 15, 2016, the Interdisciplinary Team will organize inspections of vehicles listed in Decision 2607/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee, at bus stations, parking lots, rest stops, toll stations (when necessary), border gates and on roads.

Passenger cars with Lao license plates circulating on the roads will also be checked and handled if there are violations.

For passenger vehicles with foreign license plates, if violations of the Agreement, Protocol No. 72 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Circular No. 88 of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and regulations of Vietnamese law on passenger transport by car are detected, they will be strictly handled.
