Nghe An: General review and inspection of fire prevention and fighting safety

(Baonghean.vn) - The Minister of Public Security requested the police and fire police of localities to conduct a general inspection and review nationwide, and assess fire safety conditions for facilities under their management. At the same time, the list of facilities that are unsafe in terms of fire safety must be made public, and all facilities that violate fire safety regulations must be strictly handled.

On the morning of October 11, the Ministry of Public Security held an online conference to deploy plan 513/KH-BCA-C07 dated October 7, 2022 on a general review and inspection of fire prevention, fighting, and rescue safety nationwide.

At Nghe An bridge, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Colonel Nguyen Duy Thanh - Deputy Director of Nghe An Provincial Police co-chaired.

In the first 9 months of 2022, there were 48 fires in Nghe An, killing 4 people and causing property damage of nearly 5 billion VND; compared to the same period in 2021, there were 11 fewer fires.

The provincial police have organized rescue operations in 37 cases (28 drowning cases; 3 traffic accidents; 4 cases of dangerous animals and people's houses; 1 gas leak case and 1 case of a gasoline tanker accident).

In particular, 470/424 karaoke establishments, bars, and pubs in the province were inspected, 75 administrative violation records were drawn up, more than 324 million VND was fined to the State budget, and 20 establishments were temporarily suspended.

To improve the effectiveness of State management work onfire protection and preventionand rescue (PCCC and CNCH) to prevent, repel, and eventually stop the occurrence of particularly serious consequences that cause death, and end the situation where facilities do not meet safety conditions.

From October 15, 2022 to December 15, 2022, the Ministry of Public Security requires the police of provinces and centrally-run cities to inspect 100% of establishments under fire prevention and fighting management. In particular, focusing on closely inspecting business establishments with security and order conditions, large-scale establishments with large crowds such as hotels, warehouses, factories, high-rise buildings, apartments, etc.

The Ministry of Public Security requires provincial police to periodically report the situation and implementation results to the Ministry of Public Security every 15 days. At the same time, it requires units and localities to synthesize and report the results of the review, inspection, and specific statistics of the list of facilities to the Ministry of Public Security before December 15, 2022./.
