(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 16, at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education in coordination with the Department of Education and Training organized an award ceremony for national excellent students.

In the 2016 National Excellent Student Competition, Phan Boi Chau High School had 85 students winning prizes. Of which, there were 7 First Prizes, including 1 First Prize in Math, 2 First Prizes in Physics, 1 First Prize in Chemistry, 2 First Prizes in Geography and 1 First Prize in History. This is the highest result of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted in the past 5 years and the number of students winning First Prize is 7 times higher than in 2015. The total number of students winning prizes is also 3 more than in the previous school year.

At the award ceremony, the Provincial Association for Promoting Education awarded a total of 65,100,000 VND. Of which, the prize for the first prize winner was 1 million VND, the second prize was 800,000 VND, the third prize was 700,000 VND and the encouragement prize was 500,000 VND.
