(Baonghean.vn) - By noon today (June 29), the forest fire in Hong Linh (Ha Tinh) is under control. The biggest fire ever here has left thousands of people and forest rescuers exhausted. They have been wading in the sea of fire to save the forest for more than 1 day and 1 night.
Pine forests on Hong Linh mountain burned like a sea of fire
(Baonghean.vn) - At around 1:00 p.m. on June 28, a large forest fire broke out in the pine forest area of sub-region 92A, village 7, Xuan Hong commune (Nghi Xuan - Ha Tinh). The fire broke out fiercely, threatening many houses.
On the morning of July 3, Nghe An Provincial Police held an award ceremony for the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07) for its outstanding achievements in forest fire fighting.
Attending the ceremony were Colonel Nguyen Huu Cau - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department.

In the first 6 months of the year alone, the province had 122 fires, of which 30 were large fires. In particular, during the peak of the heat wave from mid to late June 2019, 74 fires occurred in the province, of which 66 were forest and vegetation fires. Many consecutive fires occurred in many places, making it very dangerous and difficult for the authorities to carry out fire fighting work.
Faced with that situation, the Fire Police force of Nghe An province overcame all difficulties and hardships to deploy many solutions and measures to effectively carry out fire prevention and fighting work.
Specifically, nearly 400 fire trucks were dispatched and more than 5,000 officers and soldiers were mobilized to participate in fire fighting, not only in the province but also to support the fire fighting force in Ha Tinh province.
The 114 Center of the Provincial Fire Police force quickly received and promptly handled reports of fire and rescue. During the fire fighting process, the Fire Police saved 21 lives, guided hundreds of people to escape, and saved resources and assets estimated at hundreds of billions of VND.
