Nghe An: Deploying 25 new agricultural extension models

(Baonghean.vn) – In the first 6 months of 2016, Nghe An has developed 25 agricultural extension models. Among them, many new high-quality plant and animal varieties, after being tested and modeled, have been incorporated into the production structure.

Specifically, there are 16 agricultural extension models implemented from local budget sources, 3 models from central budget sources and 6 models from other sources.

For example: the model of raising eels in mud-free cement tanks implemented in a number of households in the districts of Dien Chau, Hung Nguyen, Yen Thanh, Cua Lo; the model of growing safe vegetables according to VietGAP in Quang Tien ward - Thai Hoa town; the model of growing super sweet organic melons in Nghi Long - Nghi Loc; the model of testing CNC1 black peanut variety in Nghi Hoa, Nghi Loc; the model of caring for tea according to VietGAP in Thanh Chuong, Con Cuong; the model of intensive cultivation of high-quality pure rice according to VietGAP in Nghi Dan and Yen Thanh districts...

Some agricultural extension models for the poor have been implemented in the districts of Quy Hop, Thanh Chuong, Quynh Luu, Tan Ky, Con Cuong; with the following models: breeding cows combined with grass growing and breeding goats.

In addition, in the first 6 months of the year, the agricultural extension system at all levels also organized 741 training classes on livestock and crop farming techniques for over 50,000 extension workers and farmers in the whole province.
