Nghe An implements the Politburo's Resolution on the development and application of biotechnology
(Baonghean.vn) - The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has just issued a Plan to implement Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW, dated January 30, 2023 of the Politburo on developing and applying biotechnology to serve the country's sustainable development in the new situation.
The purpose is to create a change in awareness, responsibility and action of Party committees, Party organizations, authorities, the Fatherland Front, unions, enterprises, cadres, Party members and people about the role and importance of developing and applying biotechnology to serve the country's sustainable development in the new situation.
Strive to successfully achieve specific goals:
By 2030: Widely apply biotechnology in industries and fields, aiming to fundamentally change production industries, especially industries with strengths such as agriculture, medicine, and environmental protection; effectively maintain biodiversity conservation in Nghe An province.
By 2045: Nghe An province becomes the National Center for Biotechnology in the North Central region, with modern and synchronous facilities and human resources capable of absorbing, mastering, and moving towards creating technologies of biotechnology, new materials technology, and high-tech agricultural technology.
The Provincial Party Standing Committee requests Party committees and authorities at all levels to develop plans to study and disseminate Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW; Resolution No. 189/NQ-CP, dated November 16, 2023 of the Government; Plan of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to implement Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW to cadres, party members and people. Promote propaganda and education activities to raise awareness throughout the political system, people and businesses about the importance of developing and applying biotechnology to serve socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security, and improving people's lives. Timely reward and honor businesses, organizations and individuals with effective operations.
Proactively develop programs and plans to implement Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 189/NQ-CP, and the Plan of the Provincial Party Standing Committee with specific goals, tasks, solutions, and roadmaps; at the same time, integrate the goals and tasks of implementing Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 189/NQ-CP into the annual socio-economic development programs and plans of localities and agencies, departments, and branches to organize effective implementation.
News agencies and newspapers in the province focus on diversifying forms of propaganda, introducing achievements and results of biotechnology; proactively promoting typical collectives and individuals in research, development and application of biotechnology.
Building and perfecting laws, mechanisms and policies for the development and application of biotechnology;
Focus on developing and effectively applying biotechnology in production and life, forming a database on biotechnology; developing the biotechnology industry into an important economic and technical sector;
Building human resources in biotechnology, increasing investment in facilities to meet the requirements of research, development and application of biotechnology; Promoting international cooperation in biotechnology.
District, city, town Party Committees, affiliated Party Committees; Party committees, Party delegations, and Party executive committees shall, based on this Plan and the actual situation in localities and units, develop programs and plans to implement Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW and focus on leading and directing effective implementation.
