Nghe An deploys Covid-19 vaccination for 3 medical units

(Baonghean.vn) - On April 20, implementing the Covid-19 vaccination plan of the Ministry of Health, Nghe An deployed vaccination for 3 medical units in the area.

The first batch of vaccinations was carried out by 3 units: Vinh City General Hospital, Nghe An General Hospital, Southwest Regional General Hospital, and the epidemic prevention force in Con Cuong district.

At Vinh City General Hospital, 86 medical staff and employees who have direct contact with subjects at risk of contracting Covid-19 such as the emergency department, examination department, etc. have been screened and vaccinated according to the Ministry of Health's procedures.

Dr. Ngo Nam Hai - Head of HSTC-CD-TNT Department said: "After the injection, I did not feel any unusual reactions."

Doctor Hai is very confident when receiving the Covid-19 vaccine and believes that together with people's awareness of disease prevention, the vaccine will be an effective weapon.

Nghe An General Friendship Hospital has more than 1,300 medical staff registered for vaccination.

“The hospital will prioritize medical staff who have first contact with people at risk of contracting Covid-19, such as the tropical disease center, the examination department, the emergency department, and places that have first contact with patients coming for examination and initial screening. In the following days, the anti-poisoning, intensive care, and surgical departments will be vaccinated,…” - Dr. Pham Hong Phuong, Deputy Director of Nghe An General Hospital said.

Before implementing the vaccination, the hospital trained all medical staff. During the training, the contents of indications, contraindications, and initial screening were disseminated.

At the same time, the hospital also plans to prepare for possible side effects, ensuring maximum safety for those receiving the vaccine. On the afternoon of April 20, Nghe An General Hospital deployed the vaccination for 150 officers and medical staff of the emergency department and the tropical disease center.

After receiving the Covid-19 vaccine, all cases were monitored on-site for 30 minutes and no cases showed any unusual health symptoms. Currently, the units implementing the Covid-19 vaccine have not recorded any strong reactions after the injection.
