Nghe An: Dismantling a multi-provincial loan shark ring worth thousands of billions
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Provincial Police have dismantled an inter-provincial loan sharking ring, initially arresting 52 subjects and determining the amount of money transacted through this ring to be more than 1,000 billion VND.
In the early morning of December 15, 2021, under the direct direction of the Provincial Police Director, Nghe An Provincial Police mobilized nearly 500 officers and soldiers to simultaneously arrest and search 51 locations, which are representative offices of Tan Tin Dat Finance Company in 28 provinces and cities across the country.

The police force has arrested 52 subjects, initially clarifying the amount of money used for lending is more than 1,000 billion VND, with more than 10,000 victims. The highest interest rate is 5,000 VND/million/day, equivalent to nearly 200%/year. The task force has frozen 56 related accounts to serve the investigation.

Tan Tin Dat Finance Company, directed by Nguyen Sy Dung (born in 1982), residing in Ha Huy Tap ward, Vinh city, Nghe An province, is under the guise of a finance company but in reality isloan sharkwith dozens of offices in about 30 provinces and cities across the country.

To eradicate this network, the Task Force spent a lot of time and effort; had to use high technology to track down the suspects because they mainly conducted transactions via software and phone.
Currently, Nghe An Provincial Police are coordinating with relevant agencies to continue investigating and clarifying the case.
