Previously, through monitoring the situation on cyberspace, Nam Dan District Police discovered that since June 15, 2020, a number of Facebook social network accounts posted video clips and information related to the incident of a group of students from Hung Thai Nghia Secondary School, Nam Dan District, fighting.

Content and comments with offensive words on Facebook page “Duyen phan bo si”.

The Facebook account "Duyen phan bo shi" posted the above video clip with content that defames and discredits the school's teachers. In the comment section of the post, the account owner and many others used many offensive words to the honor and dignity of relatives and students involved in the fight in the video clip. The information posted was incomplete, but the number of shares of the post was high and fast, at one point this post received more than 500 shares, nearly 600 comments and tens of thousands of accesses and views of the video clip; causing confusion among the public and many conflicting opinions.

Considering that the posting and sharing of these contents has a negative impact on the awareness of many social network users, the content incites violence that is harmful to children, violates children, and children's rights that need to be prevented according to the provisions of Article 29 of the 2018 Law on Cyber Security on child protection in cyberspace, Nam Dan District Police conducted a verification. The results determined that NT T (born in 1991), residing in Nam Hung Commune, Nam Dan District, is the user of the Facebook account "Duyen phan bo shi", so T was invited to the Commune Police headquarters to work.

During the investigation, T admitted to posting the above content on Facebook to condemn the school violence that had occurred and wanted the school to take measures to handle it and for the students' parents to better educate their children.

T himself and many other social media users do not realize that sharing such information does not entirely help prevent crimes from happening. On the contrary, spreading information and images of violence along with insulting and defamatory words about the students involved on the internet is an uncivilized behavior that incites violence and child abuse.

After working with the police, T realized his violation was due to lack of legal knowledge and removed the related post.

Currently, the authorities are completing the procedures to handle the subject in accordance with the law.

Regarding the cases of students involved in the above mentioned fighting incident, Nam Dan District Police are currently verifying and clarifying to handle them in order to deter and prevent similar school violence incidents from continuing to occur.
