Nghe An ranks among the top provinces nationwide in terms of the quality of its National Excellent Student Competition winners.

(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training organized a workshop on specialized schools. At this workshop, the Ministry announced the list of 5 schools with the highest percentage of students winning awards in the national excellent student selection exam each year, from 2010 to 2013.

Accordingly, in 2010, Nghe An ranked second, after Nam Dinh; ahead of Vinh Phuc, Ho Chi Minh City National University and Da Nang.

In 2011, Nghe An did not make it into the top five (that year, the top five included: Hanoi National University, Nam Dinh, Hanoi University of Education High School for the Gifted, Hanoi and Hai Phong).

In 2012, Nghe An ranked 5th, after Nam Dinh, Hanoi University of Education, Hanoi, and Hai Phong.

In 2013, Nghe An ranked 4th, after Hanoi University of Education, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Nam Dinh, and ahead of Vinh Phuc.
