In Dien Trung commune, there are currently 24 laying hen farms, currently supplying the market with about 30,000 eggs/day.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - owner of a farm raising thousands of laying ducks in Nam Thanh commune (Yen Thanh) said that duck eggs have increased in price in the past 5 days, the wholesale price from 2,200 VND to 2,400 VND/egg, but there are no eggs to sell, because the demand in the market is high, while the number of laying ducks in the population has decreased sharply.

Ms. Thuy said that because of the high cost of animal feed, people raise ducks less, soduck eggsnot as abundant as before. This is the main reason for the increase in duck egg prices, as market demand increases.
