Nghe An: There have been several suspected cases of whooping cough in Yen Thanh and Dien Chau.

(Baonghean.vn) - In the first quarter, there were no patients with acute flaccid paralysis, neonatal tetanus, measles, or diphtheria in the whole province. However, there were still some suspected cases of whooping cough in some localities, especially Yen Thanh and Dien Chau districts. That was the content raised at the online conference of the Department of Health on the afternoon of March 24, at 21 connecting points in the whole province.

Accordingly, the health sector has directed health units to effectively implement the set targets such as: proactively preventing and monitoring respiratory and digestive diseases, emerging diseases, and organizing the monitoring of dangerous diseases throughout the province. Typical examples include influenza A, dengue fever, respiratory diseases, acute diarrhea, Zika virus disease, and Japanese encephalitis.

The industry also recorded that in the first quarter, there were no patients with acute flaccid paralysis, neonatal tetanus, measles, or diphtheria in the entire province. However, there were still some suspected cases of whooping cough in some localities, especially Yen Thanh and Dien Chau districts.

At the online conference, the Board of Directors of the Department also sought comments on the Draft Implementation of the Project "Developing health care work towards socialization, improving the quality of disease prevention, medical examination and treatment, and health care for people in Nghe An province in the period 2017 - 2020"...

This time, 14 hospitals have registered for autonomy in regular expenditure for the period 2017 - 2020 with the goal of achieving autonomy in human resources by 2020, with 4,096 people and 4,800 hospital beds, reducing the State budget by more than 800 million VND.
