Nghe An honors 40 female managers and female union chairmen in the Education sector

This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2022), the 40th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2022), towards the Trade Union Congress at all levels for the 2023 - 2028 term.

The conference honored 40 outstanding female managers and female union chairmen of the Education sector for the period 2019 - 2022. These are outstanding female teachers who are directly managing and teaching at educational institutions, Department of Education and Training of districts, cities, towns, Department of Education and Training of Nghe An; have outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Innovation, creativity in management, teaching and learning", "Teach well - Study well", "Good at school work - Good at housework". At the same time, they have many contributions to the cause of education and training in the locality and unit; honored by cadres, teachers and workers.

Among the female officials honored are 5 female managers of the Department of Education and Training, 27 female managers and 8 female union chairmen of affiliated units. The oldest person is 52 years old, the youngest is 40 years old.

Among the 40 individuals honored, each has their own unique characteristics in terms of outstanding performance in management, professional work and daily life; but the common point is that they have good moral qualities, dedication and enthusiasm. Over the years, female cadres and teachers have been constantly creative, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility, proactive, pioneering, being advanced models in studying and following the example, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh, being people with outstanding achievements, many contributions and worthy contributions to the development of the industry and the trade union organization.

Currently, Nghe An Education and Training sector has 1,525 educational institutions with a total of 52,612 cadres, teachers and workers, of which 40,442 are female, accounting for 76%. Of these, the proportion of female teachers participating in management staff is 2,363 people, accounting for 51% of the total number of management staff in the sector.

Of these, 2 are Vice Chairmen of the Industry Union, 7 are currently holding the positions of Head and Deputy Head of Departments at the Department of Education and Training, 15 are managers of the Department of Education and Training of districts, cities, towns, and units under the Department. In addition, there are 105 female managers and 30 female union chairmen.

In the period of 2019 - 2022, the whole sector has 29 female/48 teachers awarded the title of Excellent Teacher, 92 female/128 teachers recognized as typical advanced, representative of the Education and Training sector, 33 female/45 cadres, teachers, and workers awarded the Education Development Talent Fund, more than 1,000 female teachers were awarded by ministries, departments, and branches.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Director of Nghe An Department of Education and Training affirmed: 40 female managers and exemplary female union chairmen who were honored are beautiful flowers in the beautiful flower forest of collectives, individuals, good people, good deeds, typical of Nghe An Education sector.

The tireless efforts of female managers and female union chairmen have contributed to each step of growth of the development movement for the advancement of women and emulation movements, and the achievements of the industry in recent times; enriching the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women.

In the coming time, the Industry Union needs to coordinate with the professional departments to have more activities to honor Vietnamese Teachers' Day. Along with that, the Industry Union needs to spread the good examples, especially female teachers and managers to the whole industry, contributing to the good implementation of the new general education program 2018.

On the part of the Education sector, we will continue to do a good job of discovering, nurturing, and praising advanced models and replicating outstanding examples to have a strong influence in agencies and units. From there, we will contribute to promoting the role of female managers and female union chairmen of the Education and Training sector of Nghe An province in the fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training.
