Nghe An honors 52 orphaned students with many academic achievements
On the afternoon of June 30, Nghe An Education Trade Union coordinated with the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education and the Book and School Equipment Joint Stock Company to organize a ceremony to honor orphaned students who have overcome difficulties and studied well.

At the program, 52 students, children of officials, teachers, and workers of the affiliated blocks, who overcame difficulties and studied well were honored.
These are the students who were honored despite their difficult circumstances but have overcome their fate, made efforts to practice and achieved many high achievements in their studies such as: Dao Tuan Vu - class 7A, Ly Nhat Quang Secondary School (Do Luong); Ho Minh Thu - class 9A3, Tra Lan Secondary School (Con Cuong); Tran Thanh Truc - class 7A, Dien Hanh Secondary School (Dien Chau); 2 brothers Chu Quoc Hung and Chu Quoc Cong - class 9A, Quynh Chau Secondary School (Quynh Luu); Pham Thi Mai - class 12C7, Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School... Many of them have been excellent students for many years in a row, achieving excellent results at all levels.

The commendation ceremony is a meaningful activity on the occasion of the Month of Action for Children, commemorating the 23rd anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day and to concretize Directive 28 of the Politburo in 2023 on child care, education and protection to meet the requirements of building and developing a prosperous and happy country.

At the program, Nghe An Education Trade Union called on units, businesses, grassroots trade unions, and philanthropists to continue to show love and sharing from the community and society towards students in difficult circumstances and orphans, thereby contributing to helping them rise up in life. At the same time, it demonstrated the responsibility of trade unions, political and social organizations for children's work and their companionship in the province's educational work.

On this occasion, each honored student was given a gift worth 500,000 VND, a set of textbooks and 2 days of experience and vacation in Cua Lo beach town.
From 2022 to now, Nghe An Education Trade Union has launched the program "Godmother for orphaned students" for the period 2022 - 2025 to mobilize cadres, teachers, workers, organizations, and philanthropists to sponsor, support, care for, and raise children of cadres, teachers, workers orphaned by the COVID-19 pandemic, orphans in difficult circumstances, creating conditions for them to study and practice with peace of mind for comprehensive development. Up to now, 124 children have been sponsored with an amount of up to 1.5 billion VND in the whole period.
