On the afternoon of March 7, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation worked with the Dien Quang Commune Party Committee and visited the economic model in Dien Yen Commune, Dien Chau District.

On March 6, the delegation of women from Nghe An province attended the 12th National Women's Congress (term 2017 - 2022).

Taking place from March 6 to March 9, at the National Convention Center, Hanoi with the spirit of "Solidarity - Innovation - Equality - Integration", the congress has 1,153 official delegates who are outstanding women, representing women of all classes, ethnicities, religions, ages, professions, fields of work and different regions across the country.

The incident at the sludge dam of Suoi Bac Tin Enterprise (Nghe Tinh Non-ferrous Metals Joint Stock Company) in Lan Toong mountain area (Chau Thanh commune, Quy Hop) occurred at 6:00 a.m. on March 9, 2017. The sludge flowed down the mountain slope to Bac stream, merging with Nam Huong stream (the main stream of Dinh river), causing environmental pollution and affecting people's production and daily life.

According to the report of Nghe Tinh Non-ferrous Metal Company, the cause of the dam break was due to the presence of underground water at the foot of the dam; the amount of sludge spilled out was about 100m3. However, through inspection, it was determined that the amount of sludge in the dam when it broke was about 1000m3.³; the amount of mud spilled into Bac stream is about 200m³…

In Chau Quang commune, since the morning of March 10, ponds using water from the Nam Huong stream have had fish floating lethargically on the water surface and then dying. By the afternoon of March 10, at Dong Lum overflow stream, many dead fish were floating.

In the face of the incident of a dam containing sludge breaking, causing fish to die in rivers, streams, and lakes, the Standing Committee of Quy Hop District Party Committee has a very clear viewpoint. That is, assigning the District People's Committee to establish a Working Group, coordinate with provincial agencies to clarify the cause of fish deaths; suspend the operation of Suoi Bac Tin Enterprise; organize an inspection of the waste dam system of the Non-ferrous Metals Joint Stock Company at the place where Suoi Bac Tin Enterprise organizes mining to have an accurate assessment of the current situation, thereby requiring this company to have a sustainable solution.

The 2017 Admissions and Career Counseling Program was organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, Tuoi Tre Newspaper, the Department of Education and Training, and Nghe An Provincial Youth Union on the morning of March 11 at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.

This is the fourth year the admissions and career counseling program has come to Nghe An. This year, with many changes in the 2017 National High School Exam, the program has received the attention and follow-up of many teachers and students of high schools in the area.

Many schools in districts such as Nghi Loc, Thanh Chuong... also rent cars to take students to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted to receive counseling.

People living on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street affirmed that this is a practical work and wish to be implemented thoroughly and resolutely.

On the morning of March 10, the interdisciplinary inspection team on food safety in Nghe An province suspended the operation of Vu Cao Cuong tofu production facility, block 14, Le Loi ward, Vinh city.

This facility has been granted a certificate of food safety registration by the Economic Department of Vinh City People's Committee. On average, the facility uses 30 kg of soybeans per day to produce finished tofu. At the time of inspection, the facility's violations were that the processing area was too dirty, and tools such as green moldy processing baskets, funnels, and bean sprouts were not hygienic. The interdisciplinary team issued a record of suspending production and business activities for 1 month from the date of inspection for the facility to correct the situation.
