Nghe An and the highlights of the past week.

1) President Truong Tan Sang visits and extends New Year greetings in Nghe An.

The President of Vietnam presents gifts to 100 impoverished households in Do Luong district.

On the morning of February 11th, Comrade Truong Tan Sang - Member of the Political Bureau, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, along with his delegation, offered incense and flowers at historical sites in Nghe An province and visited and presented gifts to some poor households and victims of Agent Orange in Do Luong district; and extended New Year greetings to officers and soldiers of Military Region IV.

2) Districts and cities organize the awarding of the title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother".

These mothers were awarded the State honorary title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother.

Over the past week, many districts and cities in our province solemnly held ceremonies to award the prestigious state title of "Heroic Vietnamese Mother". This noble title is a recognition and veneration by the Party and the State of the immense contributions and boundless sacrifices of these mothers.

3) Opening Ceremony of the Spring Press Festival 2015 (Year of the Goat)

Provincial and Yen Thanh district leaders and readers visited the Nghe An Newspaper exhibition booth.

Sharing in the joy of celebrating the traditional Lunar New Year and the glorious 85th anniversary of the Party, on February 12th, journalists in President Ho Chi Minh's hometown enthusiastically held the Spring Press Festival in Yen Thanh district.Seventeen exhibition booths from central and local press agencies showcased unique and impressive publications, attracting a large number of readers and viewers from the rice-growing region.

4) Song Lam Nghe An has 4 players called up to the Olympic team.

Defender Pham Manh Hung (in the yellow shirt) is one of four SLNA players called up to the Olympic team.

In preparation for the U23 Asian Championship qualifiers, coach Miura announced the list of players selected for the national Olympic team, including four players from Song Lam Nghe An Club: Pham Manh Hung, Que Ngoc Hai, Ho Tuan Tai, and Ho Phuc Tinh.
