(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 25, in Vinh City, Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade held a conference to summarize 5 years of e-commerce development in the period 2011-2015, and orientation for e-commerce development in the period 2016-2020.

After 5 years of implementation, e-commerce in Nghe An is widely used at a level above the national average, ranking first in group 2 of the country, being one of the 3 provinces with the highest level of promotion and ranked in the top 10 in 2014.

The speed of information technology infrastructure development is increasing rapidly. By the end of 2014, Nghe An had 3,670 BTS stations with 1,862 locations; nearly 300 thousand computers with a growth rate of 33.3%/year; 21.5% of communes have public internet access points... Currently, the whole province has over 75% of agencies and units using shared software in management, operation, and task performance. 51/51 units have been granted accounts to manage and update information on the Electronic Information Portal.

For enterprises in Nghe An, 100% of enterprises use email in transaction and information exchange activities; 90% of enterprises have electronic information pages; 80% of enterprises participate in electronic sales information pages; 95% of enterprises apply specialized software in management activities, exceeding 2.68 times the set plan.

During the period 2011-2015, telecommunications infrastructure, Internet and information technology applications developed rapidly with remarkable progress, meeting the basic conditions for e-government operations that have been formed with an online meeting system from the province to districts, cities and towns; a continuously operating electronic information portal system with 58 level 2 portals; an effective public email system; modernized one-stop transaction centers; hospitals and schools are gradually connected to broadband Internet and equipped with specialized application software.

In order to promote e-commerce activities in the area to develop in accordance with new trends and situations,In the period of 2016-2020, Nghe An has determined the goal of focusing on building e-commerce infrastructure; 80% of the websites of provincial and district-level professional agencies providing online public administrative services at level 3 and 20% of online public administrative services at level 4. Strive for 100% of businesses to use email in transactions and information exchange.

Training and developing e-commerce human resources, thereby improving the capacity and skills of human resources implementing e-commerce at enterprises, state management agencies as well as residential communities. 3,000 business officials and state management officials attended short-term training courses on e-commerce; 2,000 final year students were trained and coached in e-commerce, meeting the needs of deploying e-commerce applications for enterprises.
