Nghe An: Handling 12th grade male student who impersonated Facebook to commit fraud
(Baonghean.vn) - Anh Son District Police (Nghe An) has just arrested Duong Thanh Sang - a 12th grade student at Anh Son 3 High School, residing in village 15, Binh Son commune, for using Facebook to send fraudulent messages.

Anh Son District Police said that on June 19, 2017, they received a complaint from Mr. Duong Cong Ngoc, residing in village 16, Binh Son commune, reporting: Around the end of May 2017, Mr. Ngoc discovered a Facebook account with the nickname "Cong Ngoc Cong Ngoc" with a profile picture of himself.
This Facebook account impersonated Mr. Ngoc and texted many women with flirtatious messages, inviting them to have illicit relationships, and asking for phone cards.
Through verification and clarification, Anh Son District Police identified the impersonator as Duong Thanh Sang, born on May 7, 2000, residing in village 15, Binh Son commune, studying in class 12C6 at Anh Son 3 High School.

At the investigation agency, Duong Thanh Sang confessed: In 2014, Sang created a Facebook account named "Han Doi", on May 10, 2017, Sang changed his name to "Cong Ngoc Cong Ngoc" and used Duong Cong Ngoc's photo as his profile picture. During the process of impersonating Facebook, Sang texted 20 people, mainly women, with flirtatious content, inviting them to have illicit sexual relationships, sex chat via Facebook, messenger and phone card scams.
Currently, the police have conducted administrative proceedings and handed Sang over to his family for education./.
