Nghe An fines two more fishing boats for violating the Fisheries Law
(Baonghean.vn) - Continuing the program of inspection and supervision of coastal fishing activities in July, the provincial interdisciplinary inspection team led by the Department of Fisheries conducted an inspection at sea.
After 7 days of testing (from July 21 to 27),Coastal interdisciplinary inspection teamdirectly observed 97 ships, propagated maritime laws to 90 ships with 310 fishermen, including 3 ships from other provinces and 87 fishing boats of Nghe An fishermen.

Through inspection, the delegation fined 2 fishing boats with a total fine of 800,000 VND/boat because the crew and workers at sea did not carry identification documents.
The fishermen who were fined were Mr. Nguyen Van Nh, owner of the fishing boat with license plate NA-92038-TS, a boat with a beam length of 15.6m, and Mr. Trinh Van Kh, owner of the fishing boat with license plate NA-909981-TS, a length of 13.5m, both residing in Thu Thuy ward, Cua Lo town (Nghe An).

Mr. Tran Chau Thanh - Head of Inspection and Legal Department,Nghe An Fisheries Departmentsaid: In recent months, despite the difficult weather conditions, but due to the situation of violating regulations onprotection of aquatic resourcesincreasingly complicated, coastal voters continuously reflect on the hotline.
Based on the plan of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the interdisciplinary team regularly conducts supervision and inspection. Along with propaganda and reminders to comply with regulations on fishing procedures and protection of aquatic resources, depending on the level of violation, the team will conductadministrative penaltyto discipline fishermen and bring fishing activities into order and management.
