Nghe An: F0 student appears, 2 classes stop direct learning

Morning of January 6,Nghe Anrecorded 40 new Covid-19 infections, including 13 community cases. Notably, there were 2 students in Nam Anh and Trung Phuc Cuong communes, Nam Dan district, causing their classes to stop in-person learning.

In Trung Phuc Cuong commune, the patient is TTV, female, born in 2017, in Trung Can hamlet. She is a 5-year-old student at Trung Phuc Cuong Kindergarten.

Mr. Nguyen An Toan - Chairman of Trung Phuc Cuong Commune People's Committee said: "Immediately after the test results were available, the locality asked for the opinion of superiors and let the entire kindergarten students take 2 days off, especially the 5-year-old class with F0 children must take at least 7 days off to continue monitoring...".

It is known that this 5-year-old class has a total of 36 students. The locality has taken samples for testing of the entire class and F1s related to the patient, and quarantined them according to regulations.

At the communeNam Anh, the Covid-19 infected patient is NPT, female, born in 2009, residing in hamlet 4, currently a 7A student at Anh Xuan Secondary School.

After the test results were available, the local authorities stopped all in-person classes for all 7A students and switched to online classes; it is known that there are about 40 students in 7A. Other grades continue to teach in-person as usual.

Up to now, the whole Nam Dan district has 283 Covid-19 cases appearing in 18/19 communes and towns. Including: Nam Xuan 71 cases, Xuan Hoa 49 cases, Nam Anh 29 cases, Trung Phuc Cuong 20 cases... Currently, there are 4 localities implementing epidemic prevention measures at level 2 including: Nam Thanh, Nam Xuan, Kim Lien and Nam Dan Town.

The whole district has 375 cases under home quarantine..Cases completing quarantine for over 14 days: 19,274 cases.
