Nghe An requires strict implementation of fire prevention work after serious fire in Hanoi
Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued Official Dispatch No. 11400/UBND-NC on the implementation of Official Dispatch No. 136/CD-TTg dated December 19, 2024 of the Prime Minister.
The Provincial People's Committee requests directors of departments, heads of functional branches, chairmen of People's Committees of districts, cities and towns: Continue to seriously and resolutely implement the Prime Minister's instructions on fire prevention and fighting, especially Directive No. 01/CT-TTg dated January 3, 2023 on strengthening fire prevention and fighting in the new situation; Directive No. 19/CT-TTg dated June 24, 2024 on strengthening fire prevention and fighting in multi-storey houses, multi-apartment houses, individual houses combined with production and business; directive and implementation documents of the Provincial People's Committee: Plan No. 56/KH-UBND dated February 1, 2023 on implementing Directive No. 01/CT-TTg; Plan No. 575/KH-UBND dated July 18, 2024 on implementing Directive No. 19/CT-TTg; Telegram No. 46/CD-UBND dated November 20, 2024 on strengthening fire prevention and fighting before, during and after the Lunar New Year and Spring festivals in 2025; Telegram No. 47/CD-UBND dated November 30, 2024 on strengthening security and order before, during and after the Lunar New Year in 2025...

Directing the strengthening of propaganda, guidance, and rectification of compliance with fire safety regulations at constructions, facilities, and crowded places, and propaganda, dissemination of legal education, crime prevention, especially crimes arising from conflicts and crimes that disturb public order; proactively coordinating with functional forces to attack and suppress all types of crimes, eradicate social evils, and ensure security and order in the area.
Previously, the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch No. 136/CD-TTg on the case of arson at a coffee shop in Co Nhue 2 Ward, Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi City. The Official Dispatch was sent to: Ministers of Ministries, ministerial-level agencies; Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee; - Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities.
Accordingly, at around 11:00 p.m. on December 18, 2024, a fire broke out at a coffee shop in Co Nhue 2 Ward, Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi City, causing extremely serious consequences, injuring and killing many people. On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent his condolences to the relatives and families of the victims and gave the following instructions:
Minister of Public Security: CDirect the functional forces to coordinate with the Hanoi People's Committee to focus on overcoming the consequences; promptly investigate the case, strictly handle violators according to the provisions of the law to deter and prevent.
The police of units and localities continue to seriously and effectively implement the Party and State's directives in ensuring security, order, preventing and combating crimes and law violations, focusing on Conclusion No. 13-KL/TW dated August 16, 2021 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 48-CT/TW dated October 22, 2010 of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership in crime prevention and combat in the new situation; Conclusion No. 15-KL/TW dated September 30, 2021 of the Secretariat on continuing to promote the implementation of Directive No. 46-CT/TW dated May 26, 2015 of the Politburo on ensuring security and order in the new situation; Decision No. 38/QD-TTg dated June 16, 2022 of the Prime Minister promulgating the Action Program to implement Conclusion No. 15-KL/TW; stepping up the attack and suppression of all types of crimes, sweeping away social evils; strengthening propaganda, education, and crime prevention, especially crimes arising from conflicts and crimes that disturb public order during the upcoming Tet holiday.
