Male artist Giang Coi had to go straight to the emergency room right after finishing filming the comedy "Tet Love Confession", the only film he participated in this Tet season.

Many years ago, artists Hong Giang (Giang “coi”) and Tien Quang (Quang “teo”) were the couple that “occupied” many Tet comedies. However, in recent years, while artist Tien Quang still “shows” several comedies each Tet season, artist Hong Giang rarely appears. This year, for the Dinh Dau Tet, artist Hong Giang only participated in one Tet comedy film, “Tet Love Confession”.

Sharing the reason for rarely participating in Tet comedies, artist Hong Giang said that for the past few years he has been sick so the doctor forbade him from acting.

“I don’t want to reveal much because if I did, in my position, many people would look at me when they know I’m sick. Now, when I’m sitting here with you all, it means I’ve been “death’s” eye.

Last year, many famous people passed away, I am not a famous person but “death” still caught me. Because of poor health, I refused many movies.

The doctor said: “Absolute rest, completely forbidden from making films. If you go, whether people need you or not is no longer important.” Now when people see me, I am “safe and sound”. As long as I am alive, I can still contribute and work.”

Artist Hong Giang also said that after finishing filming this Tet comedy, he had to go to the emergency room because of a recurrence of his herniated disc.

“I have a herniated disc, so after finishing filming “Tet Love Confession,” I went straight to the emergency room. Actually, while filming, I was already in pain, but because I hadn’t finished filming yet, I had to take painkillers, and the doctor prescribed a strong dose. On days when the weather is erratic, people with bone diseases like us always have problems,” artist Hong Giang confided.

In addition to artist Hong Giang, "Tet Thu Tinh" also features the participation of artists: People's Artist Trung Hieu, Meritorious Artist Thu Huong (Huong "tuoi"), Manh Hung, Mai Long (Long "bau"), Minh Nguyet, Thuy Tien, Vu Duy, Dinh Tham, Luong Giang, MC Vo Thanh Hien...

The film's content revolves around the "confession" story of the character Doi (Hong Giang). On that "confession" journey, Doi is effectively supported by strategist Can (NSND Trung Hieu), who shows Doi the tricks to conquer Nhan (NSUT Thu Huong). Originally an excellent student (graduated from 4 universities), Can is very good at science, applying science to animal husbandry in the integration period. Can believes that "confession" also requires science like animal husbandry. From there, Can applies the knowledge and scientific theories acquired in the classroom to help Doi flirt with girls.

While advising Doi, Can caught sight of Yen's (Luong Giang) eyes and was immersed in that simple, captivating beauty. Both Can and Doi were drunk in the whirl of love. Can had a servant named Can (director Mai Long). Can liked Choi (MC Vo Thanh Hien), but Choi liked Can. Phan (director Dinh Tham) liked Yen, but Yen did not like Phan....

These love triangles revolve around each other, colliding with each other in a tangle of actions and complex developments. At the end of the film, the couples all come together happily to welcome the warm new spring.

Answering the question: "At the age of nearly 60, do you still feel a bit awkward playing roles that express love?", artist Hong Giang said that love has no age.

“I recently heard about a man in America, over 70 years old but still very passionate in love. The old love the old way, the young love the young way. In real life I have confessed my love quite a few times, but whether it was successful or not, I have to count it back home,” said artist Hong Giang.

The male artist himself feels that this film is not a Tet comedy but a psychological, romantic comedy. Although the film takes Tet as the main setting for the events to happen, it is not a Tet comedy.

MC Vo Thanh Hien, who plays the role of Broom in the film, also expressed that she was very lucky to be invited by the director and producer to participate in this Tet comedy.
