Artist Tran Manh Tuan 'miraculously survived' after 3 brain surgeries and he is returning to his passion for performing with familiar trumpets.
Artist Tran Manh Tuan is famous for his skillful and powerful trumpet playing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, despite having an underlying illness, he performed for tens of thousands of patients and doctors in field hospitals. Due to his hard work as an artist, Tran Manh Tuan suffered a stroke and underwent three brain surgeries in just a few months. Recently, the artist has gradually recovered.

Artist Tran Manh Tuan said: "The 3 brain surgeries were 3 times I almost died and came back to life, life and death were just a hair's breadth apart. When a doctor saw me awake and held his hand, he composed a poem, calling it a miracle of medicine. I am still very weak, but my passion for music is still intact. Every day I practice the trumpet, when I am tired I rest, then practice again."

Artist Tran Manh Tuan said: "During the 3 surgeries, the doctors, colleagues, and especially the audience always cared for and encouraged me, which was a great motivation for Tran Manh Tuan. There are friends abroad and in the country who remind and guide me every day to practice recovery."
Artist Tran Manh Tuan has made great contributions to the development of Jazz music in Ho Chi Minh City over the past 15 years.
